As it mentions it’s off the grid, the house is heated by the fireplace, which is connected to a boiler system that also heats the towel rack and the 2 radiators in the bedrooms. "We were visiting from Canada and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this rustic, authentic accommodation. Thank goodness for accurate GPS to get to the property and through the twists and turns of the VERY narrow roads in town & up the hillside! Ample parking outside the cottage. We all slept soundly and the beds were comfortable and the house was charming. We did find a shortage of basic kitchen utensils (corkscrew, measuring cups/spoons, wine glasses, spatula etc) but managed ok (bought our own...

"The value is really great and it was the best equipped, most private, and cleanest place I've ever stayed at. The hosts were remarkably warm, helpful, and friendly, and the house was charming with nice outdoor options--garden, patio/balcony, bbq, and just down the road a beautiful little river with places to swim with no one around. This is a perfect refuge, great place to restore yourself."

"Luna Chalet are rustic chalets, and I must admit that the unit given to us was very comfortable with great views. Nice bedding, good towels, all dishes and soap needed. The only negative is that they supply the nespresso type machines but with no pods. It would have been nice to have coffee in the morning. A lot of channels on the television also. I strongly recommend the chalet. "

"The facilities and amenities are very nice and unique. Based on the fruit theme which the area is known for, it is a cherry lovers must-do. Every member of the staff is exceptional in their professionalism. I cannot say enough good things about Cherry Sculptures Hotel, and I highly recommend a stay to anyone that may be in the Covilhã area."
