"We didn’t stay at Le Cheval Blanc as it was closed for holidays, Hotels.com advised of a nearby chambres d’hôtes and we stayed there ‘Au clos de Charny’ which was lovely, our only problem was our room was up two flights of steep stairs. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed, a very nice shower room with a good shower. The breakfast was superb, a great choice of cheeses and charcuterie, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The host is a lovely lady too."

"Booked the day itself a room for the night and received a confirmation and payment was done. When I arrived the hotel was closed and out of operation. Some strange excuse that email was not working but apparently nothing was working because they couldnt give me a room because no rooms were heated and the water was shut off. The day afterwards the customer servicenof hotels tried to reach the hotel but nobody picked up the phone. "

"We enjoyed our evening.. The home is small but nicely decorated and has everything you need. Valerie is close by to answer any questions. We arrived on Sunday and everything was pretty much closed. "We really liked our stay in Jerome's beautiful house. Everything you need is there, the shower is perfect and it is all very cosy and stylefull. It was a special experience because the house is on a parc with houses in French ownership. I guess we were the only foreign tourists! The house has a big, fenced garden wich was excellent for our dog. A perfect stay for Fontainebleau and a visist to the Fabuloserie."
