Cosy holiday home in Montaron with garden

This authentically decorated railway cottage features a beautiful garden and green surroundings. The level crossing is secured with barriers and signalling and a fence has been placed between the cottage and the railway line. You can bring 2 pets on holiday and the bedrooms can comfortably accommodate a family or a group of friends.

Start the morning with a healthy walk along the lake, which is about 30 km from the accommodation. You can get a nice breakfast at the supermarket 10 km away and a nice restaurant can be found 2 km from the accommodation. By car, you can easily travel to the various sights and nice places in the vicinity of the accommodation.

The accommodation has a bathroom including a shower and a sink. If you do not wish to eat out one evening, you can prepare a delicious dinner yourself in the kitchen. There is a barbecue where you can grill a delicious piece of meat yourself and the garden is decorated with attractive furniture. Moreover, the cottage is equipped with fast internet via fibre optic cable and TV with international channel package.

Wir waren im Juli mit zwei Personen in diesem charmanten Eisenbahnhaus. Gemütlich eingerichtet. Voll ausgestattete Küche. Geräumige begehbare Dusche. Die beiden Doppelbetten befinden sich auf der schmalen Seite. Das hat uns jedoch nicht gestört. Wir haben uns einfach jeder sein eigenes Bett ausgesucht und dann schläft man großzügig. Ein Pluspunkt dieses Hauses ist die großzügige Terrasse und der große Garten. Schön und ruhig. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Urlaub und kommen gerne wieder.

De sfeer is zoals op de foto’s, romantisch en frans. Alles werkt, alle voorzieningen, prima WiFi en tv aanbod. Mooie grote tuin met veel privacy. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Het weer viel wat tegen maar met het kacheltje aan meer dan warm in de kamer. De omgeving is heel mooi en niet toeristisch. Geweldig als je van rust houdt maar naast wandelen en fietsen is er weinig te beleven. Mogelijk is het in de zomermaanden drukker en gezelliger. De tuin is niet omheind, voor onze honden geen probleem maar met kinderen toch even opletten. Geen trein gezien maar wel wat autoverkeer. Niet storend en s’nachts niks gehoord. De bedden zijn net zo romantisch als de rest van het huisje maar voor ons niet geschikt. We hebben apart geslapen en dan is het bed groot genoeg.

Excellent accueil
Lieu très calme, malgré la présence d'une ligne de chemin de fer. Il ne passe un train que de façon vraiment très occasionnelle. Superbes paysages. Le gérant est vraiment très accueillant et bienveillant. Notre séjour c'est vraiment très bien passé. Nous avons pu poursuivre notre activité professionnelle en télétravail sans problèmes de connexion. Puis nous avons profité de qlqs jours de détente pour visiter les environs, avec nos chiens.

Een erg fijn en mooi vakantiehuisje, de eigenaren hebben er iets moois van gemaakt en willen dat ook graag delen door een fotoboekje in het huisje aanwezig te hebben met wat foto's van de verbouwing. De tuin is fijn en groot, en het huisje ligt heerlijk rustig met af en toe een auto die langs rijd. Het huisje is verder van alle gemakken voorzien en alles ziet er keurig uit. Het internet was alleen niet fantastisch qua snelheid, maar het is functioneel. Mochten de avonden koud zijn, dan is er genoeg hout aanwezig om lekker de kachel op te stoken. Als er een trein langs rijd, dan is dit een goederentrein welke onregelmatig rijd (kan wel vroeg zijn, wij hadden het twee keer dat deze om 5:30 uur langs denderde.)

Geweldig voormalig spoorweghuisje; smaakvol ingericht en met heerlijke tuin. Bijzonder om zo vlak aan het spoor te zitten waar af en toe nog een trein voorbij komt. Vriendelijke eigenaar bovendien. Langs het Canal de Nivernais kun kun je prachtig fietsen.

Erg leuk en authentiek spoorweghuisje, staat aan een erg rustige overgang met meer tractoren dan auto's die er over heen gaan. zijn hier nu een week en nog maar 1 trein voorbij zien gaan en gehoord. Heel aardige en behulpzame eigenaar die in het station woont. in Vandenesse 2km is een bakkertje en voor boodschappen kun je in Moulins Engilbert 10km of Cercy la Tour 10km tereht. huisje is erg compleet met vaatwasser, wasmachine, droger, noem maar op. We zijn hier in de maart en dan is het wel erg fijn dat het houtkacheltje het erg goed doet. Helaas geen gebruik gemaakt va nde geweldige veranda die hij gemaakt heeft. Top huisje, dank je wel Nico.

Wij verbleven met ons gezin met veel plezier een week in het sfeervolle spoorhuisje. Het is mooi opgeknapt en heeft een heerlijke tuin en terras om 's avonds te genieten van een Franse wijn. We hebben zelfs pizza's gebakken in de houtgestookte oven. De omgeving is landelijk, rustig en ook zeer geschikt om op de fiets te verkennen. De eigenaar woont in het naastgelegen station en is heel behulpzaam. Absoluut een aanrader.

Cozy clean tastefully renovated railroad crossing house
We spent a week in this cozy, clean, tastefully renovated railroad crossing house. It was wonderful! Lots of walks nearby, including the canal towpath just a few hundred metres away. Large terrace with a wood-fired oven for spending long evenings out and a grassy semi-enclosed lawn to play on. The house is a converted railroad crossing house and there is a train that passes (very) infrequently. Just 2kms up the road is a very nice restaurant and the Morvan park and its lovely forest hikes is a few short minutes away. The wood-fired stove was perfect to keep the house warm and was the focal point for our family this nippy October. We would definitely come back!

Bij aankomst kwam de Nederlandse eigenaar meteen naar ons toe om ons welkom te heten. Hij maakte een rondje met ons in het huis om alles te laten zien. Werkelijk een gezellig, knus en schoon huisje. In een omgeving waar je tot rust komt. Huisje zit aan een spoor, logisch is een spoorhuisje, maar de trein komt 3 dagen in de week voorbij. En dan 1x heen en 1x terug. Zelf daar geen hinder van ondervonden.

Hele aardige ontvangst door de Nederlandse eigenaar. Fijne uitleg over alle faciliteiten in het huisje en tips over de omgeving! Nog nooit een huisje gehad waarbij de inventaris zo compleet was als in dit prachtig opgeknapt spoorweghuisje. Van de trein heb je geen last, deze kwam tijdens ons verblijf slechts om de dag een keer langs. Dit gaf juist zijn charme. Je rijd zo het Nationaal Park de Morvan in. Buiten op de veranda is het heerlijk vertoeven onder de wijnranken met een wijntje en een frans kaasje! Ben je op zoek naar een romantisch huisje in een rustige omgeving waar in de buurt genoeg te doen is, dan is dit zeker een aanrader.

Erg grappig huisje, leuk ingericht met alle moderne voorzieningen, mooie ruime badkamer, gezellige keuken. Toen wij er waren vroor het buiten en op de slaapkamers bijna ook! Op de 1e verdieping is geen verwarming.

Very nice small house
Wij verbleven er 4 nachten in week 7 van 2019. Bijna alles prima, alleen wel wifi, maar geen internet en de trein rijdt o.a. ‘s morgens om 06.00 uur langs en daar schudt het hele huis van.
