"We have an amazing stay here for the past two days! The house was perfect - everything we needed for our short break! We visited Mont Saint-Michael and Saint Malo - so perfect house between the two! Corinne was lovely and so helpful! We cannot thank her enough! We hope to come back!"

"Probably my fault but I didn't realize deposit had to be in cash. So had to scramble to find ATM to get $300. Then checking out they doubled the cleaning fee on us. They didn't provide toilet paper or dish soap and had to go to the store to buy some. Would have been nice to know there was no toilet paper before going to the bathroom."

"The gite was lovely. It was quiet and we rested well. The bed was clean and comfortable. The shower was very good and clean. We just found the location to far to walk to any bars shop for us as we are older but for people wanting to go on long walks it would be great."

"A nice, light and airy, modern building in a very nice area. Spacious and comfortable with lots of outside space. We would have appreciated hanging space in the main betroom and more storage space in the kitchen. We would not hesitate to stay again for a short stay."

"Great location easy walking distance of town. Short drive to all the sites! Dol de Bretagne is a great place to stay if you want to be away from masses of tourists, but able to easily travel to see the sites! "

"We spent two nights at the gites with a group of 20. We don't speak French, but we wanted to see Mont Saint Michel. The manager didn't speak English, so we had a communication problem from the beginning. We needed sheets , and the cleaning fee did not seem optional, so the cost was higher than I anticipated from the ad. The gites were clean and secure. There was ample dishes for cooking and meals. "Terrific cottage located an oyster shells throw from the coast! Clean, smart and tidy with comfortable beds and all the facilities needed for a short stay. Add this to the proximity to the seafood stall opposite make this the dream location for a seafood lover!"

"Beautiful property, very clean and well maintained. A few too many rules on show in all of the rooms, making it a little off putting to relax. Based in an extremely remote area, car needed, but in a good location for visiting Le Mont Michel. Would suit adults/teens as can sleep 5, would not recommend for a family with small children, due to tiled floors and stairs. A very relaxing, quiet location for anyone wanting to escape the hectic city life."

"This property has it all: great location right near a cute village, a view of Mont St. Michel, 12 mins to the center of a lovely small city for good dining options and practicalities (Avranches), generally great amenities, wonderful heated pool. The host was super sweet and communicative. The only suggestion for improvement would be for the owner to invest in some portable fans as, with climate change, things can get quite warm even at night. This is a highly recommended property!"

"Very clean comfortable apartment in a wide open space opening out onto the pool. Great seating area on the balcony (Downstairs apartments had a good space outside their units). "My daughter and I greatly enjoyed our recent overnight stay at La Mere Poulard. The current renovations did lend to a less-than-ideal level of cleanliness and noise, and the buildings are definitely in need of them. Despite this, however, it was hard to be upset in such a historic and beautiful place! Breakfast was delightful. We would definitely stay again- and highly recommend a meal at the restaurant! "

"The position is amazing with unimpeded views towards the mount. The walk to the island from there is flat and easy if you enjoy walking or you can take the free shuttle bus which stops right outside. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a wonderful view across the fields to Mont Saint Michel. "

Luxury stay close to Mont St. Michel

"A gem of a place in the vicinity of Mont St. Michel. The owner personally welcomed and took us to our suite which was spacious and luxurious. The attention to detail of what it offered was extraordinary and the room was extremely quiet. For breakfast, we had croissants and coffee-- the very best croissants in all of France and the coffee was superb! And for a nominal fee, we were also driven a few minutes to the shuttle bus going to Mont-Saint-Michel Abbey. All in all, an enjoyable stay at this hotel which we would highly recommend."
