"What a hidden gem! The room was huge with 3 big beds, a kitchen, and large bathroom. This place does not have a front desk but the communication to gain access worked great! Will definitely stay here again when heading to the mountains!"

"Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious...

"This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small."

"The manager was super helpful, the property was perfect for our overnight stay in Helena, and the fact that we could take our dogs with us was awesome! I've stayed at the Lamplighter before, and I will stay there again!"

"The double queen suite was perfect for a couple of dudes coming to fish Montana. Clean, Cool and Comfortable. Great location too. Quick access to downtown restaurants and to highway for travel. Will likely book again."

"My 10-year-old grandson and I went on a two day trip. We had so much fun walking around town and checking everything out. The location was wonderful and the resident kitty was super sweet. It was a neat little hotel to stay in with great history. All in all, it was a wonderful time."

"A wonderful place in a wonderful location, walking distance to downtown and a very short walk to hiking trails. The place had everything we needed and was in a quiet neighborhood. The place was clean and well equipped. We look forward to returning."

"We had a great visit to Livingston. The house had everything we needed and was in such a great location; close to town and easy access to the major highways to either Bozeman or to Yellowstone park. Loved the enclosed front porch in this quiet neighborhood. "

"Place was cute but a little outdated for what you pay. Location was nice but a little walk to lifts. Would have been nice to have a hot tub outside for each property. "

"Queen bed was very comfortable, sheets and pillow cases were awesome!! Very soft and comfortable. No TV so just be aware of that. Room is small, no desk or table space, no in-room coffee although coffee maker and coffee is in the common area for the making. We chose not to. In-window A/C was fine with just the fan on but the A/C was loud, rattle-ly and noisy, but it cooled the room well."
