Some sights seen hiking along the Bruce Trail. The trail follows the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, one of the thirteen UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves in Canada, for almost 900 km (560 mi). The land the trail traverses is owned by the Government of Ontario, private landowners and the Bruce Trail Conservancy (BTC).

The name of the trail is linked to the Bruce Peninsula and Bruce County which the trail runs through. The trail is named after Bruce County which was named after James Bruce, 8th Earl of Elgin who was Governor General of the Province of Canada from 1847 to 1854.

"NO ONE should book with this person - he cancelled on me and my family of 35 people LESS than an hour before our stay because he said he has just found out a few minutes before out check in that the heat in the house was not working. "Discovered 3 hours before we arrived this was the basement of the host home- NOT the entire home. Host was there (with small children running around upstairs) the entire vacation. Host didn't recall my booking initially and we had to call for check in information. The stepping stone were uneven and mobil so we turned an ankle just getting to the door, behind the house.
