"Our two year old son loved the outdoor area: chasing the ducks, watching tia the dog and the horses being cooled down with water. The sandpit (boulles area!) was his favourite and we really appreciated the fenced swimming pool with 2 locks. No need to bring any toys, lots of games were provided. The only thing we’d look for next time would be mosquito nets around the beds and some cushions for the outdoor seating for when we’re outside in the evening. "Stayed earlier this year and the hosts were just as good as the first time. They emailed us on the day to say the rental was ready or us, this was ahead of the scheduled time so it was a bonus. Its a great place to stay for exploring the area. Welcome pack in the fridge (wine and beer). "

"It was a very quiet location in a lovely village. The conversion was very well done and equipped. The only complaint was it got a little cold in the evenings, but the weather was cold. Would stay again."

"Les Valades is perfect for a holiday in this beautiful area of France. It is clean, quiet and has everything you need. The owners helped with bike hire before we arrived and easy to contact throughout if we needed them. The house is in a quiet area, overlooking fields where you spot deer, wild boar and birds of prey but is only a short drive to Issigeac (which is just wonderful) or Bergerac. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Les Valades."

"Zeer rustig middenin de wijnranken gelegen en toch vlakbij de hoofdweg tussen Bordeaux en Bergerac. Mooi en zeer degelijk ingerichte gite (zeer goed geslapen) met alle voorzieningen behalve een tv ( voor wie het nodig zou hebben ). Super vriendelijke eigenaars met zeer vlotte communicatie. "This was a wonderful place, ideal both for relaxation and from which to explore the area. The location was so peaceful and the gite had everything that we could need. We loved having the pool and Martin, Gwen and family were the perfect considerate hosts with great recommendations on local restaurants and Caves. We’d definitely love to come back again, next time bringing the car to fill up on the amazing Monbazillac wines!"

"This very clean and comfortable cottage is in the country a short drive from Sainte Emilion. Quiet, pastoral setting. It was out base for drives in the area and for a relaxing time at the end of the day. We opted for the breakfast which was very reasonable and delish - yougurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay."
