"This property is several kilometers up a gravel road from Murlo, Italy. The road is okay but we got a little concerned after it had been raining for a while. The property is remote and near several hiking paths. It is great for people who want to get out and hike around the hills of Italy. The gardens are really nice. "We have just returned from a wonderful 10 night stay at Porcilia. The property was exactly as advertised and Francesca was a very welcoming and helpful host. The property was clean and well equipped. The pool was excellent and loved by all our party! The pool and the grounds were all very well maintained! We would highly recommend a stay at Porcilia!!"

"It was a perfect home base for my husband and I for daytripping around Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, and a welcome break from staying at a hotel. The town is close to the property, and an easy stop for breakfast and coffee on our way to other destinations. Unfortunately it was raining most of the days we were there, so we did not get to enjoy the exterior as we had hoped.Note to others: the street to the farmhouse is not paved and there are many potholes, so drive slowly and carefully!"

The owner, Daniella, runs the clothing store in the same building and was very accessible and helpful. "We loved this property- very well equipped, lovely pool and great views. And, only a few minutes walk into the village with lovely bars restaurants and shops. A perfect location. The only thing that might cause an issue for some ( not for us) , is that the third bedroom is a mezzanine floor within the second bedroom with a very steep staircase. The only access to the bathroom from these rooms is either through the main bedroom or through the patio door and around the outside of the property. ...

"We felt a bit misled by the listing. It wasn’t disclosed that WiFi was sporadic at best; nonexistent at worst. The delightful “living room” with the “fireplace” shown in the photos, was in a detached building, completely unusable in March. We also had a 100 weekly fuel charge that wasn’t disclosed. "Beautiful home in Castellina in Chianti where my daughter and I visited for the UTCC race. The property has four separate 'apartments' that share a parking lot, pool, and outdoor space. The views are amazing and the sunsets were beautiful. Our 2 Bedroom apartment was very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed calling it 'home' for 6 nights. 13 century monastery

"The hotel is amazing! This hotel was a monastery built in the 13th century. Major problem, no elevator. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Ours was on the 3rd, hauling luggage was not fun. The other annoying part was the included breakfast started at 8am. We had an early train reservation which meant no breakfast for us. When we explained at the front desk, they didn’t offer any solutions. "

Great location Great Breakfast

"We had a great stay at Alma Domus we booked an economy double which was a good size with a very comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was clean and everything worked as it should. The room was serviced daily. The location was great close to a bus terminal and only a short walk to the Duomo and main Piazza and approximately 15/20 minutes walk from the train station (there is a bus too and taxis are available) For the price it is amazing value as the breakfast is fabulous and really sets you up for the day. If we were to return to Siena we would certainly book to stay in the Alma Domus."
