"We were booked for the weekend- Thu, Fri and Sat nights… the room was in front of the lift so all the bus groups kept coming in and out very loudly very early each morning. Rooms are modern and clean however some bit were off like the light in the toilet was hanging over the basin. There was a green square on the wall behind the Tv which doesn’t make sense and there a powerful smell of freshener everywhere. Asked housekeeping to not to use during or stay and the didn’t. Reception staff was kind...

"The castle is a dream. Wonderful place.Stunning .Super clean. Quiet walkable city down the hill. Beautiful rooms. The only bad thing was dinner time. It’s a shame that are so short staffed. It took forever to get food and a long wait (30 min.) to get coffee after dinner. A hotel with this stature should offer an excellent service all around. "

"Appearance outside of drab colours, needs renovation, tired looking. Inside beautifully shiny wooden steep spiral stairs with option of stair lift. Room had no carpet. Looked old and tired. Unsafe looking legs on the bed! Room was cold, took 4 hours to heat radiator, NO hot water in very small shower room. No restaurant, just bar food. Expensive, considering the lack of facilities!! Glad to leave! Would not recommend!! "
