Luxurious Seafront Belle Époque apartment

This beautiful bourgeois apartment renovated brand new is located at the sea front in the very heart of Menton with a wide selection of restaurants and shops around, right next to the old town of Menton (5 minutes walk), and two blocks away from the Casino. From the apartment you have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. The apartment has high ceilings, and beautiful structures from its bourgeois era. It is located on the 3rd floor (4 in total not counting the RC /bottom floor), with elevator. The apartment has built in air conditioning. Parking is included in a neighbouring building (100m walk).

The apartment has gone through a complete renovation. It has a 75sqm surface with white walls and parquet floors:
1) One master bedroom with a 160cm kings size bed, drawers and en suite bathroom
2) Second bedroom with two single beds (90cm each) that can be turned into a 180 cm double bed by a special mattress connector that we have. Just let us know what you prefer!
3) There is a big socializing area with an open space between the kitchen and living room making it optimal for social dinners with family and friends. The kitchen is brand new with all the latest amenities, oven, microwave, 4 induction hobs, dishwasher and washing/dryer machine (combined). The property is brand new and has been furnished with designer furniture.
4) The ensuite bathroom has shower, toilet and sink. The second bathroom has a double sink and a shower. In addition there is a separate guest toilet.

The residence is located at the heart of Menton in front of the beach where you have all the restaurants, bars / cafes and shops. The lemon festival parade passes right outside the apartment in February / March.This apartment is the perfect place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday on the French Riviera!
*Menton is located next to the luxurious lifestyle of Monaco. If you want some glam and celebrity spotting you can take the bus, train or car (20-30 min) and enjoy it for the day. Monaco has many nice restaurants like Nobu, Ciprianis or why not enjoy a drink at the American Bar of Hotel de Paris! For children we recommend to visit the Oceanographic Museum.
*Menton is located on the border to Italy. Thus, if you want to make a day trip outside Menton you can go to Italy. With well connected trains from Menton, alternatively use a car, you can within 30 min go to Italy to enjoy fresh food markets, restaurants with handmade ravioli or local Ligurian cuisine, and much more.

Lovely flat in a great location

Seafront View with Cockroaches
My family and I were excited to rent this “Luxurious Seafront Apartment” for a week in July 2024. Upon our arrival, we were shocked to find the building infested with cockroaches. Simply put, we could not stay. The undue stress and added cost of having to find new accommodations for a family, last minute, in high season was not the holiday experience we were expecting. We requested a refund from the host and were denied. The host insisted that the apartment was “impeccable”, despite the fact that cockroaches were lurking around. I would think that a good host, would have taken the steps to warn, cancel or remove the listing until the issue was resolved. Knowing and admitting that there are cockroaches within the establishment, clearly warranted a refund. Beware.

Location, Location, Location!
We had stayed in Sophia and Neil's other unit one floor below this apartment five years ago, and were happy to have access to the same building again. The location is ideal, steps away from numerous sidewalk cafes and the beach, less than a 10-minute walk from the train station, and a lovely walk through the old town to get to the market and shopping. The view from the picture window in the living room is wonderful. A fierce electrical storm hit Menton a couple of days before our departure and knocked out the hot water boiler in the apartment, and despite attempts to fix it over a holiday weekend, we were without hot water for a few days. To our surprise, Sophia and Neil credited back to our account two days' of rental fees to compensate us for the loss of hot water that was beyond their control. That is true client service and we are appreciative and very respectful of the steps they took to keep their clients happy. Thank you for another great stay in Menton!

Superb location and Modern Comforts
Unbeatable location and view. The kitchen and bathrooms are well appointed and modern. High ceilings make the place feel light and spacious. The bathroom in main bedroom includes toilet and spacious shower. The other shower and sinks are separate from toilet room which is typical in France. Was even nicer then the pictures and we would return.

Great Apartment in Fabulous Location!
We had a wonderful week staying at Sophia and Neil's Belle Epoque apartment in Menton. Located just across the street from the Mediterranean, the apartment is very modern and clean, and was comfortable (albeit a little cozy) for six of us. The neighborhood is fantastic, with great restaurants (including one in the building) and beautiful red clay tennis courts just a short walk up the avenue. We never had a problem parking our very large 8-seat vehicle on the street, as parking is free every evening between 7PM and 9AM. We were here for the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tennis tournament, which was only a 15 minute drive away. It was also very easy to drive to Sanremo, Italy, as well. We wanted to watch the tennis tournament in the apartment, so Neil generously bought us a Google Chromecast. The weather was wonderful as well!

Lovely location! We really enjoyed.
This was a beautiful apartment located on a 3rd floor, with a gorgeous view of the beach of Menton. The weather was perfect with daylight until almost 9pm everyday. Inside everything was clean and beautiful, modern decorated and with many comforts. Only disappointment was the closet space that appears on the photo of the 2nd room, was not found in the house. The owner told us that they need to change that photo. They try to help us bringing and assembling a drawer in one of the rooms, but we really couldn't make the time for it. This was the only downside which is fixable, in any case the room with TV and closet is not in the house. For the rest everything was perfect! Highly recommended. Would we book it again? Yes.

Apartment Perfection - Lovely visit in Menton
My husband and I stayed at the Seafront Belle Epoque (#2) apartment in April (2018) for 8 nights. It is situated in the most fantastic neighborhood with conveniences all around. Not to mention the beautiful sea right across the street and a sea view from the living room window!! The grocery, bakery, pharmacy, casino, and lots of restaurants within very easy walking distance as well as the train station. The old town of Menton is in easy walking distance as well. The apartment was as lovely in person as the photos portrayed! All of the modern conveniences inside, especially the kitchen was well equipped. It was great to have the washer/dryer as well. We had a fantastic stay and will never stay anywhere else except Belle Epoque when we visit Menton in future. (My only suggestion would be a new area rug in the living room as the one there is a little worn, and more towels; other than that, everything else was perfection!!)

Wonderful stay in heart of menton in lovely apartment
The apartment is lovely.,well maintained, modern and well equipped including the kitchen facilities where you can easily prepare a full meal . The view is amazing and you are literally metres from the beach. For us the location was perfect as the pet friendly beach was very close and we were travelling with them and we could even return for a light lunch.

Attention aux coquerelles!
L'appartement est très bien situé, juste en face de la mer, mais beaucoup de problèmes. Premièrement, il manque de literie. Les serviettes de plages sentent le vomi et il y a de la moisissure dans la douche. Il manque de meuble, pas de table de chevet ni de commodes dans les chambres, donc on doit déposer nos valises par terre. On a trouvé une coquerelle dans une chambre. On retrouve plusieurs coquerelles dans les escaliers, donc clairement un problème dans l'immeuble. De plus, le séchoir ne fonctionnait pas. J'ai fait une brassée et je n'arrivais pas à ouvrir la laveuse. J'ai écrit pendant 3 jours pour avoir de l'aide. On me répondait que la personne était à Monaco. La veille de mon départ on a débarqué avec un réparateur qui a finalement démonté la porte de la laveuse pour sortir mes vêtements. J'ai essayé de faire sécher sur un séchoir et je suis repartie pour la Corse avec des vêtements humides. Je ne comprend pas du tout les bons commentaires sur ce condo. Je ne recommande pas du tout.

Très bel emplacement. Appartement très agréable. Le garage est un vrai plus à Menton. La plage au pied de l'immeuble. Un réseau de bus (plus gare) qui permet de se déplacer facilement (Nice, Monaco, et villages alentour). On recommande !

Supermooi appartement!
We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad in het mooie appartement. Direct aan het strand en 10 minuutjes wandelen naar het hartje van Menton. In augustus wel druk, veel Italianen maar dat hadden we wel verwacht. Het appartement zelf is gelukkig heel fris en van alle gemakken voorzien. Moest ik iets voorstellen dan zou extra bestek en een scherp snijmes handig zijn. De communicatie met de eigenaar liep soms wat vertraging op, maar was altijd wel vriendelijk en correct. Communicatie met de persoon ter plaatste was heel vlot. Kortom, absoluut een aanrader!

Stayed there for one week with my family (2 adulty, 2 kids). Checkin was a bit confusing / unorganized but at the end, everything turned out well. Appartment is very modern directly at the beach, there is just a street in between. Beautiful view over the sea from living room. Everything you need for your stay is there. Many Restaurants directly in front of the appartment, Menton center in walking distance. Beach is very stony, but water very clean.

appartement luxueux et très propre. a recommander malgré petit problème au départ ( le gérant ne s'est déplacé qu' avec 1h30 de retard) au moment des fêtes du citron , le propriétaire doit se procurer des laissez passé (gratuit) afin de pouvoir sortir et entrée dans la zone de l'appartement. aucune négociation possible sinon l'achat d'un billet d'une valeur de 12 euros.

Points positifs et points négatifs de l'appartement
Positif: L'appartement est fidèle à la description ainsi qu'aux photos, la décoration minimaliste et l'espace de vie est bien éclairé. Il y a une très belle vue sur la mer et l'appartement est bien situé dans la ville. Coté fourniture, le réseau Wi-Fi est très bon, les chambres sont spacieuses, l'équipement de l'appartement est plutôt complet, le canapé lit est très bon aussi, et la table de la salle à manger a la possibilité de s'agrandir. Négatif: La TV avait un problème de fonctionnement, sûrement du côté de l'installation. Nous avions quand même eu accès à Netflix, mais aucune chaine française à disposition. Il est vrai que, malgré les multiples équipement de la cuisine, il n'y avait pas de saladier. La bouilloire ne fonctionnait pas, c'était plutôt dommage. Pour ce qui est des instructions, tout est en anglais, ce qui est dommage pour les clients francophones, et la communication avec la dame qui nous a accueilli était plutôt difficile et limitée. Ensuite, les draps n'avaient pas l'air aussi propres que cela, nous avons même eu quelques démangeaisons sous les draps. Et enfin, tout le ménage est à revoir, et dans toutes les pièces. Par exemple, l'évier, la douche, les toilettes (principalement pour l'odeur des tuyauteries), les miroirs, les toiles d'araignée dans les coins de salle de bain. Malgré tout, nous avons passé de bonne vacances, les restaurants autour de la résidence étaient vraiment sympas et abordable.
