I'm really pleased I chose this place for my visit to Mokpo. I'm also very glad I went to Mokpo. It's a wonderful city!
This guesthouse is close enough to almost everything you will want to see and do that you can walk to them. Even the train station is within walking distance. The location is perfect. But be prepared to climb many stairs or mountain roads to get where you want to go. The building is halfway up Yudalsan right beside the famous Ideungbawi. This makes climbing all the way to the top of the mountain easier but it also means you'll be climbing back to the guest house at the end of each day.
The interior is simply decorated in very tasteful ways. The lights in the eating area subtly hold a seafaring theme. They hang from block pulley hardware. My room was in shades of grey and white, as was the bathroom. The rooms all have beautiful views overlooking the city. The city landscape changes with the weather, you will never tire of it.
Breakfast comes with the room fee. Eggs, jam, bread, cereal, milk, coffee, and noodles are all available for you to prepare for yourself. Be sure to clean all of your dishes.
At the ground level, the owner operates a coffee shop. This might cause a little confusion when you arrive.
The owner is justifiably proud of what he has achieved. He is very kind and helpful, although english is limited. We communicated very well through Papago. I heartily recommend staying here when visting Mokpo!
