Hidden Gem in Keweenaw's Outdoor Playground
Built in 2004 this quiet cottage is located on a private penninsula in Bete Grise. Our private cottage is the perfect respite after enjoying all the area has to offer.
We have a private dock which offers direct water access to all types of boating and fishing in Lake Superior and Lac La Belle. Beach access to the crystal blue waters and singing sands of Lake Superior is at the end of the driveway. The Midwest's premier ski hill, Mt Bohemia, is just 3 miles down the road as are the U.P's famed snowmobile trails, and mountain biking IMBA’s Copper Harbor “Silver Level Ride Center” ranks among the top trail systems in the world!
Our open floor plan on the first floor is a wonderful place to gather after a day of adventure in the the Keweenaw whether it be for a meal or fireside chat around the custom fireplace.
Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 10. The master suite is located on the main floor with an attached bathroom. It has a queen bed and queen size sleeper sofa. The 2 other bedrooms are located on the second floor, 1 with 2 queen beds and the other with 1 queen bed and a shared bathroom.
There is an alarm system on the cabin that will be disarmed before your arrival. We do however have exterior cameras that are on the porch only. These are for your protection and ours.

We truly enjoyed our time at your house, the access to Mount Bohemia is perfect. We enjoyed the fireplace spacious living area and beautiful view of the lake!
2nd year at this cabin, have no plans to stop using it. very well appointed, especially the kitchen. great beds, perfect fireplace with wood, solid wifi. very clean and well kept. and the view is hard to beat.
Great residence, Carla was communicative and the place was well maintained. Right down the road from Bohemia. Lots of fire wood to one the porch, great views and comfortable beds. Make sure to bring some extra water bottles, the tap water has a slight sulfur smell - not a big deal since they keep a filter in the fridge.
An absolutely beautiful place to sit still, relax, and get a front row seat to the fall colors of the keweenaw. Lake Superior right across the road from this gem, beach access and near by access to wonderful hiking, and a Nordic spa just up the road a few miles, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to spend your vacation. The house is beautiful and clearly loved by the owners and all those who are lucky enough to visit. Thoughtful amenities and guidance in their welcome book, we had all that we needed and more to figure out what was around us and all the local attractions. We can’t wait to come back and visit again. Thank you so much for having us!
I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. It was very clean, comfortable beds with soft bedding and one of the best stocked VRBOs we have stayed in. From an over abundance of bathroom towels to a fully stocked kitchen, if you forgot anything, Carla will probably have it there for you. We brought our own paper products, spices, etc, but it’s all there. The ORV trails are very close and easy to access. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. We will definitely return.
Spacious and comfortable property. We loved how stocked the cabin was, and the beautiful fireplace! Beds were super comfortable and we all slept very well!
Everything was so easy to access. The stay was fantastic. We had five guys with ski gear and it was a great place after a hard day of skiing. I hope to stay again next year.
We had an amazing time skiing at Bohemia and coming back to the great spot. Carla was a great host and the check-in process was easy. Will definitely come back again!

We experienced the Upper Peninsula for the first time. My husband enjoyed the rock and mineral shops and museum. We explored a copper mine and saw Lake Superior in all her glory.
I loved this property. It is far removed from any neighbors but a short walk to the beach. It has a dock where we launched our kayaks from. It was a short drive to all the other activities we wanted to do in the area.
This was our third year in a row at Bete Grise, and it was just as wonderful as the past stays! The cabin is very well stocked with everything you need. There were plenty of beds and dishes for our large group of 8, which made our trip very enjoyable. Thank you for the stay, CC! We look forward to next year.
We would definitely come back. Nice and private property with Lake Superior across the road (we could hear the waves), and the house had a lot of personality. Carla made sure we had everything we needed.
Finding a place for 10 family members to gather is always a challenge. This property offered plenty of room to spread out, comfortable sleeping for all, beautiful sunrises over Lake Superior, and a wide range of hikes and activities within 30 min. Geology of the area is amazing and otter and hummingbird activity was also a treat. Hope to revisit in the future!
Surrounded by Nature and the Beauty of the Keweenaw
With a view of Lake Superior and the morning sunrise, it was a great base to explore the beauty of the Keweenaw, and to return to at the end of the day to enjoy time with family. It couldn’t have been more peaceful. It’s a lovely home, and we enjoyed morning coffee, walks on the beach, and shared meals at the end of the day, looking out over the lagoon and lake 🌲🦌
Went with a group of 4 to ski. The location is great. The house is very nice. There were some extremely minor hiccups regarding the checkout process sheet in the guidebook, but it was no big deal. This is a great place to stay, especially in proximity to mt Bohemia. We plan to stay here again. We loved it! You will love this place.
This wonderful family home is on a private road/long driveway with views of the lagoon and Lake Superior. The home is comfortable, very well appointed kitchen, linens, beach items, and the home is extremely clean, including the gas grill!
Our family had a wonderful time walking over to Bete Gris beach everyday to have coffee on the beach and then return again in the afternoon for some beach time.
