Our office called to put down a credit card authorization form - as we weekly with all our hotel stays. This is for incidentals and deposit for our employees rooms. LaQuinta sent an email with an canary link that would do the authorization - which we like the app it takes out any errors and holds for everyone to see information at location and at office. Well - the AM staff verified they received it and were friendly and understood how to use the app and what it covers. The woman checking our employees in on the evening staff didn't understand and expected our men to put their personal cards on the rooms. Even thought everything had processes and made them wait 30 minutes as they checked other construction companies in. It was hassle and we had to call twice and employees get in line twice. For her to give up and just check them in and not apologies.

The first room (223) I was offered smelled like an ashtray. The second room (225) room I was offered was occupied with ants. The carpet throughout the hotel was stained and in need of a deep cleaning. The dry wall in our room had countless poor quality repairs. The bathroom door was severely water damaged.The window track was rusted from water damage.

Outside, lobby, breakfast room were neat, clean, modern. Take one step down the hall and carpet was pretty dirty. Hall way smelled like weed most of the week (didn't seep into our room, thank goodness. Room was spacious but dated (no 'vanity' in bathroom, furniture older but decent shape. Overall, a good week stay.

We had ants the first night we stayed, a few days before. They were in the bathroom and on the towels placed on the side of the tub and crawling on the tub, toilet and sink. We dealt with it as it was minimal and who hasn't had ants. However, when I quietly and nicely tried to tell the front desk upon leaving the young lady dismissed my comment completing ignoring what I said telling me to have a nice day. No biggie again, I'm sure she gets a lot of grief all the time, which is why I went above to be nice and smile and tell her quietly. Upon our return a few nights later, we were placed in a room adjacent to the ice machine room. The hotel was not that packed as it was a Sunday night. We were checked in by the same young lady, who we were still being friendly too, however she is not very welcoming beyond a basic greeting. Throughout the night all we could hear was the ice machine working and then people getting started on their trip's the next day using the ice machine. Along with an alarm going off in the next room, apparently no one was in it. I could only assume we were placed in this room out of spite. Sad, because we did attempt to be nice to the young lady. It didn't seem necessary to place us in a room right next to the ice machine, when there were other rooms available clearly with the alarm room next to us going off.

It looks grand when you enter the lobby. It was clean looking to me. The room I got happened to be a corner suite which was great.. There are some windows but could not be opened wide (maybe for security issues). The people who checked me in was nice but made a point take your risk parking with stuff in the car. The lady who checked me out was busy with someone but she said she would send me a receipt, but never did. Oh well. But overall, it was very conveniently located just by the freeway! There are a few restaurants within walking distance including subway and fast food, and there are a few gas stations and Costco is nearby too! It was a hot weather and the surrounding area is pretty bland (not much going on). There were more working people staying at the hotel. Overall, I was happy overall.
