The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. "We stayed for 2 nights in the hotel without ordering meals. The hotel was clean and well maintained, good size room with private hot water bath (not hot spring), there was also public and family spring bath and it is not crowded. It was an awesome stay. The night shift staff has a bit of difficulty to use English, but they always give help as far as possible. "

"We had a truly memorable stay here. Beautiful setting and all very serene. Akiko san was our host for our visit, and she was fantastic at introducing some of the customs and etiquette associated with staying in a traditional Ryokan. I'd recommend that anyone considering this looks up the rules and etiquette for Ryokan stays first before booking. It's not for everyone. But if you're trying to immerse yourself in the culture of Japan, I think this is a must. "
