"My husband, daughter and I spent our last night in Japan at this property. At the time of booking, rooms with a private onsen were sold out. We missed out on the experience but we stayed at the Annex (a little outdated but Ok). Check in and check out were a breeze. Very polite clerks. I liked their gift shop, complimentary coffee and treats in the lobby. Overall, I would recommend it. "

"Spend a night here, not very modern but still very clean. Great view Traditional Japanese style ,breakfast and dinner included with the price, dinner is pure Japanese experience. No bathroom only toilet if you like onsen. Taxi cost 1700¥ from Atami station or local bus stop in front of hotel. Open Onsen offer great view, not big little quiet . "

"This hotel building is 400 years old and a histrionic building. However, this hotel completely renovated and looks like brand new and very clean. The staff is kind and helpful. There is a bus stop to Odawara & lake in front of this hotel and it is convenient and perfect for sightseeing."

"This was a perfect spot if you are looking for a traditional Japanese onsen experience. The staff were courteous and thoughtful, and the service in room was excellent. The private baths, as well as the public bath outside, were clean and well maintained, and the outdoor bath was tastefully designed. Traditional japanese dinner served in the room was very tasty. "Quite centrally located hotel, easily accessible to the Hakone station. People who have travel google maps, easy to easy many other location including the stop for Hakune cruise. Slightly disappointment that i coudl not join the Onsen (thermal bath) as i had small tattoes on my hands, though, my family enjoyed. "Fairly quiet end Mid April. Couldn’t figure out where the light switch for one of the lights and staff isn’t always around even during the day so it’s a bit tricky to get help. Almost everything is self served which is great but if you need help then it gets a bit tedious. Facilities are great and the location is also very convenient. Quiet, clean, and spacious.
