"The farmhouse was immaculately clean. The views of the Galtee Mountains with the mist rising up from them were mesmerizing. The furnishings were comfortable. Christine graciously came over and spent an hour going over the operation of the heating and kitchen appliances and bringing the tv back online for our use at my request, and we very much enjoyed the opportunity to visit with her about life on her side of the pond. "There is not much going on in Fermoy, but it is possible to drive to some major attractions such as the national park if you don’t mind a bit of a drive. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, but it is very small and the beds are listed as queens. If you are coming from America, please note this means full. Not a lot of room for suitcases, but the listing clearly stated how small it was. Overall acute little place, but not really in a destination spot."
