Beach trip
This property indicated it was a hotel but it turned out to be a privately owned condo, that required a detailed rental contract to be signed after the no refund booking was completed.It was one of two condos that were tucked in between stores in Baytowne. It was really confusing just to figure out where to go in to park and access the condo. I had to make 4 calls to the rental agent before I finally got to the unit. There is no rental office on site. There are stairs you have to take your bags down when you leave the parking garage and then there is a long at least 20 step stairs to get up to the entrance to the condo. The bedrooms are again up at least 20 steps on the second floor. All these steps carrying luggage, etc. Then there are rules you have to agree to such as leaving all the towels in the bathtub, keeping the a/c at a certain temp, putting all the dishes in the dishwasher and turning it on, carrying out all the trash bags... We had no tram cards to use the tram and you are charged for any that are missing so we had to request some brought to us on the third day. It is a large, very nice and nicely furnished condo. On our checkout day, you are to leave by 10:00 and call the rental agent to tell them you are gone. That morning the cleaning lady just walked in on us at 8:00 am. She didn't even knock first.
