We had high hopes for this property based on the pictures, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues that need addressing. Here’s a summary to help future guests avoid the same problems:
Major Concern: Owner’s Honesty
We booked another house, coincidentally also owned by Frederick, a whole six months prior to this visit. Despite confirming the rental multiple times, he canceled on us just two weeks before our stay and ghosted us. This left us with no available options in the market except for this property, which was three times more expensive. This experience was incredibly stressful and felt dishonest, bordering on a racket. I spent 8 hours fixing the issue and spent way more than I wanted to. Beware.
Specific Issues:
• Towels: The towels provided were too small, barely suitable for a child.
• Toiletries: Each shower had soap and shampoo, but the quality was abysmal—watery and ineffective. All guests complained about it.
• Kitchenware: The pots and pans, designed for induction/electric cooktops, were used on the gas cooktop, causing the handles to melt and fill the house with fumes for two days.
• Curtains: There were no curtains on the windows, making the rooms perpetually bright.
• Water Quality: The water in the tub was yellow for half of our stay.
• Bedroom Door: One of the bedroom doors wouldn’t close.
• Dishwasher: The dishwasher door wouldn’t stay closed because the springs were broken.
