Scenic Hillside Cabin: The Hideout at Rocky Ridge

Situated at the foot of a boulder covered ridge in Palo Pinto County, The Hideout at Rocky Ridge Studio offers a quiet, scenic getaway, just one hour west of Fort Worth. Write, paint, read, relax and explore the juniper and boulder covered hillside. Hike the trail down to the scenic Brazos de Dios or explore the hilly ranch roads. This 480 square-foot cabin is artfully decorated, simple, and peaceful. You will find nothing fancy but everything you need for recharging and restoring a busy soul. Seven miles from the historic town of Mineral Wells, the Crazy Water and Baker Hotels and close to the new Palo Pinto Mountains State Park.

Great Stay!
My husband and I stayed during the weekend while spending time at the Brazos River and Possum Kingdom Lake. It was so nice and quiet. We enjoyed our stay.

Quiet cozy cabin
We stayed here while our son played baseball at Rocker B. Only 17 min from the baseball facility. Great set up for 2 kids and 2 adults. Owner is super friendly and the cabin was clean.

Great little cabin in the hills. Just as described. Food and groceries nearby, yet far enough away from town to be in the country. 6 minutes from Mineral Wells Fossil Park. Really enjoyed it !!!

Quiet Rustic Getaway
Location is close to town, but far enough away to feel peaceful and away from it all. Cute cabin. Clean. No frills but we brought most of what we needed. Really enjoyed our stay and appreciated Mike's welcome. It's a plus that it's located just down the road from the Fossil Park.

Perfect hideout for a weekend getaway!
From the moment I saw the property I knew I had to stay at The Hideout. The location of this cabin offered a quiet, uninterrupted stay for me and my husband. When you walk out the back door it feels like your in the middle of nowhere which is exactly what we wanted! The hikes are gorgeous with endless big boulders covered in lichen and moss, cacti and cedar trees. A welcomed landscape coming from the city! A short trek across the pasture takes you to a prime spot on the Brazos river. The ranch owner, Mike, was kind and more than accommodating. He offers his guests a charming retreat and we are already planning a trip back.
