Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature as you embark on an unforgettable retreat at this picturesque woodland cabin majestically overlooking the scenic Toccoa River.

Step onto any of the three decks and lose yourself in a world of relaxation, accompanied by the soothing symphony of birdsong and tranquil flowing water. Whether you are grilling on the open deck, lounging on the covered deck in the hanging basket chairs under cooling ceiling fans, or soaking in the rejuvenating waters of the hot tub on the lower deck, each space offers its own slice of mountain paradise with promises of serenity and bliss.

Inside the second level, the cozy living area beckons with a wood-burning fireplace, perfect for intimate gatherings around the flickering flames. Dive into your favorite movie on the large flat screen TV with Blu-ray player, or explore a myriad of streaming services for entertainment. The fully equipped kitchen invites culinary adventures, boasting granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a convenient reverse osmosis filter for the well water. In addition to the dining table, multiple options are available to enjoy casual meals including a raised bar in the kitchen, outdoor seating on either the open deck, or the covered deck facing the river.

When the time is right, retreat to one of the two master suites, each with a queen bed and offering a unique blend of privacy, comfort, and sanctuary. The second level suite provides easy access to the upper covered deck with views of the river through the trees. Indulge your senses in the large bath with a large walk in shower, or a two person soaking tub with views to the adjacent forest.

The top level bedroom offers enchanting views through the forest canopy with glimpses of the river below and accompanying bird and wildlife antics hidden in the tree tops. Add in a private bath with walk in shower and you have a recipe for a relaxing end to the many outdoor adventures that are available. Finally, your suite boasts a separate loft area with a small library and seating for two for those interested in curling up with the latest summer novel.

Last, but not least, the ground level offers multiple options for entertainment and amusement. The three season rec room features a queen sleeper sofa, wet bar/kitchenette (mini-fridge, microwave, sink), a half bath, plus a large table with seating for sharing food, games and good times. Fun options include a large screen TV, multiple board games, and a ping pong table.

Outside, on the lower level covered deck, just a few feet from the banks of the Toccoa River, soak in the hot tub while watching the river flow slowly by. To the side is the fire pit area, where evenings come alive with crackling flames and good times under the stars. Anglers will delight in the opportunity to test their skills on-site in the premier trout fishing stream in
Georgia.

For the adventurous, your retreat on the river is loaded with a plethora of nearby options all within drive of 30-45 minutes or less. Activities include waterfalls and hiking, whitewater rafting, tubing, or kayaking, horseback riding, golf and fine dining at the Old Toccoa Farms, or exploring the Blue Ridge Lake Recreational Area. Indulge in the myriad options for shopping, local breweries and wineries, and restaurants that are available in and around Blue Ridge, Copperhill, McCaysville, and Blairsville before returning to relax and unwind at your Wildwood River Retreat home base.

Blue Ridge Relaxation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a much needed getaway for rest and relaxation. The house was just about perfect. We enjoyed fishing in the river, reading a book in the balcony hanging basket chairs, having a fire in the fire pit, and the hot tub on chilly nights. The only downside at first was the very bumpy rough road to get there but, after the first view rides, we got used to it. Would definitely stay again.

Ideal cabin
This cabin set up was perfect for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a good layout (we cooked a lot). The soft closing cabinets and drawers were top notch. I will warn you that the tap water has an unpleasant taste. Bottled water is advised for the coffee maker and drinking. The lot itself is flat and easy to drive/explore. The lane leading to the cabin is another story. We had 4wd trucks, so we were fine (never had to engage 4wd, but super thankful we didn’t drive our cars). It is riddled with potholes and several rough patches, though the closer you get to the cabin the more the lane smoothes out. The drive from cabin to Blue Ridge is about 20ish minutes. There is a Dollar General that you can get to in under 15. I recommend using Ingles over Walmart. Most fast food places had incredibly long lines/wait times and were drive through only. Carrol’s BBQ and Mystic Mountain Pizza were awesome. The shower water pressure was great and it had bomb lighting for doing make up. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property and view
View was great; beds comfy; ice was made; binder with stuff to do. Once you get on Wildwood, keep going although it looks like road ends. Look for cabin number. Needs instructions for microwave )very high tech); 2 of the chairs by bonfire are cracked.

Great Stay!
When my family and I stayed here for a little vacation that was much needed. The property is amazing. The house itself is beautiful. That master bathroom is on another level. The tub is perfect for relaxation. Only suggestion I offer for the tub is start filling it early. It takes a while to fill. The amount of light switches in this house is insane. It is nice that they have dimmer switches for some. Now in the kitchen I found that a few dishes and pans had food stuck on them from previous guests. The kitchen is not as well stocked like the description says it is. Spices are very limited, pans and pots are scarce, also utensils are strange, (they are large and long) And lastly the grill doesn’t cook well. The fans in each bedroom and the living room are a bit finicky. Light switches have to be on for them to be turned on by the remote. It took us a while to figure that out. I know every house has quirks. That’s what makes a home special. But all in all, this house is beautiful. We loved our stay. I hope to stay here again. Thank you!

Off to a good start
To summarize, it seems like the owners started off well but ran out of funds to finish. The kitchen and bathrooms are great, as are the back porch and deck. Had a minor cleaning issue, but our cleaning fee was refunded to make up for it. The furniture and decor seem to have been purchased from a grandparents estate or hotel liquidation. Needs better access to the river, even if it’s just a couple of steps. The backyard was a jungle. Provides some privacy at the expense of a limited view of the river. Landscapers came after check in but didn’t help much. Overall it’s a good place for small families, with room for improvement. *Also, not a property issue, but be aware of quickly rising water if you’re in the river. The dam is opened at Lake Blue Ridge a couple of times a day, resulting in a rising and faster moving river that can be dangerous for small children playing in the water.

Great stay but important things to know:
My husband and I needed a private quiet vacation and this property certainly provided that!!! We enjoyed the porch, the open window and quiet private setting and amenities! The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials....we brought food and prepared several meals. It should be noted that this property is NOT accurate on Google GPS OR in our vehicle navigation system and that when we tried to call Vacasa for assistance we were asked to hold for 30 minutes! We persevered and eventually found this home on our own. We LOVE secluded but this property is down a gravel road with lots of pot holes. We were in an SUV so we didn't care=====but don't come in a sedan or sports car! Also, it is important to know that if you have ATT cell Service there is only one bar and while the cabin does have WiFi====IT IS SLOW! We wanted to escape from all that so we were perfectly happy (other than the fact that Netflix wouldn't load). The hot tub is small but perfect for the back deck and the beds were WONDERFUL!!! One other thing that guests should know that while this property is right on the Toccoa River, it is really not easily accessible because of the weeds and growth between the house and the river. There are paths but lots of trees and growth that make it hard to really see the River. HOWEVER, we managed to sit on the upper deck all day the first full day we we were there and enjoyed the sounds of the river and the geese and the breeze. Really so peaceful! Oh....not a pro or con, but one thing the owners should know-----there are some carpenter bees liking the wood support planks on the upper deck! Thank you and we really do hope to return and do recommend this place! It was perfect for us!!!
