The region
The Bramleys is situated on the edge of the village of Old Cleeve, which is a charming hamlet with lots of thatched cottages and a beautiful church.

The charming medieval village of Dunster, just off the A39. Dunster is well worth a visit for sight-seeing as well as shopping and has many restaurants, tea rooms and pubs serving food.

Minehead is the main town West Somerset and is approximately 6 miles from The Brambles. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrisons and Lidi are situated on the outskirts of the town and have long opening hours), plus a range of other shops throughout the town.

An excellent location: peaceful, with beautiful views but also easily accessible and local to many attractive walks. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable, warm (at the end of October), pleasantly furnished and well equipped. Kay and Eric were friendly and unobtrusive, with excellent advice on the area. We had a great time, and hope to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Cedar House's Brambley Cottage and will be returning as soon as possible. The hosts are friendly and professional, the beds are the most comfortable we've slept in during our trip to the UK, and the cottage is well equipped and spacious, even when travelling with two teenagers. The location is peaceful and perfect to retreat to after a busy day exploring Exmoor and the coastline. 5 star breakfasts too!
