Amazing quiet & relaxing stay at this property in the rural Finger Lakes region of New York state. Great hosts made for a memorable stay for peace and relaxation.
Lovely cabin to get away from it all! Located close to the town of Watkin’s Glen. Great trails in the woods right on the property. Will definitely be back!
Our stay at Beth and Chris’s pump house was excellent! We were able to bring our golden retriever who loved all of the trails located on the property. The property was very close to everything we wanted to visit while in the Finger Lakes!
Everything was super - cabin was charming, comfortable, peaceful and just what we needed! Our golden retriever came with us and the yard and trails nearby were perfect for her and us. Would highly recommend!
I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Our dogs were in heaven and loved running through the fields. The Pump House is perfect if you want to relax. You can sit on the deck and enjoy the peace.
Perfect way to celebrate our 1st Wedding Anniversary
This was just enough “camping” for us! We had an amazing time in the area, hiking to waterfalls, exploring the vineyards and breweries and enjoying fires at the property! The outdoor cooking area was great! We’d love to come back!!
Great little place in the country, but reasonably close to restaurants, wineries, breweries, etc. The hosts were great. I have never been to a more dog-friendly location than the finger lakes. Good time. 👍
A beautiful place with everything you need! Beth and Chris were only a text away if we needed anything! Close to Watkins Glen and the Corning Museum then return to the cabin for a quiet campfire. We had a wonderful time.
The cabin and surrounding property was very nice. The floors could have been a bit cleaner, we brought our pup along with us and he found all sorts of things underneath the beds. The water had a unique smell to it. The location and amenities provided definitely outweighed the cons. Would stay again!
wonderful stay. we really enjoyed the evenings by the firepit, hearing the frogs in the pond, stargazing from the deck. Great location to access all that the local area has to offer. Easy to get to the town of Watkins Glen, and access the Seneca Lake wine trail. We also explored Keuka Lake, the wine trail, and the adorable town of Hammondsport. The hiking & exploration on the property were highlights of our stay. Hosts were quick to communicate and provided lots of great recommendations for the local area.
We really enjoyed our stay at the pump house. It's 15-20 minutes away from just about everything in the Watkins Glen area. We explored the area by day, and came back to the pump house and had relaxing evenings by the fire at night. The house looks small from the outside, but is really spacious on the inside. A perfect little weekend getaway.
We enjoyed our stay quite a bit since it offered the experience of staying in a cabin in a rural setting with plenty of land and woods around you while being conveniently located about 8 miles from Watkins Glen and Seneca Lake making it very easy to explore the finger lakes region. It was nice to come back to a peaceful setting each day and wake up to the same setting before heading out each day to explore the region. The Pump House cabin is very nice and has everything you need.
The Pump House was the perfect choice for my R&R getaway. The property is beautiful, trails to hike & beautiful decks to enjoy the surroundings. There is also a variety of grills to suit your cooking needs. I was pleased to find a dog run. I clipped my dog Trek to the run & he enjoyed wandering where he liked without me worrying about him.
The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on.
Great location & hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway put this charming cottage on your list.

We had a fantastic stay, it was so relaxing and the most stress free for my senior dog who could sit on the deck, roam and smell all the smells while we watched the birds and leisurely took in some R&R. It was the perfect location to launch for our waterfall chasing with so many nearby and one even on one of the farm’s trails. The beds were so comfortable, and they’ve got all kinds of extras in the pump house too-the binoculars came in handy, I saw an oriole, bluebirds, three kinds of woodpeckers…with bird book as well. If you are traveling with a dog and looking for some good quiet country living, Beth and Chris have you covered in the Pump House!
Clean, comfortable, private getaway for exploring finger lakes
We loved the pump house and being able to explore the trails, creeks, and overlook during our downtime. Everywhere we looked was abound with butterflies, birds, and wildflowers, frogs and salamanders near the pond/creek (late August). Chris and Beth are attentive and friendly hosts who truly enjoy having others have experience their family property. Well appointed cabin with everything we needed. Quiet location off the beaten path yet easy to access lake attractions. Perfect for getting outdoors and into nature, our boys and dog especially loved it! No TV or wifi was a huge PLUS! Would return in a heartbeat.
Thank you for allowing us to have my son's bbq birthday party on Saturday April 29th there. It was a success! The boys from Cornell had a great time. They also enjoyed the campfire, eating smores and roasting marshmallows.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We have relaxed and enjoyed nature. Not even the rain was an impediment to cooking outdoors. I moved the gas stove under my canopy tent and everything was perfect! The one who enjoyed the most was our lovely dog Cosmo. He was in paradise and he felt like the happiest dog in the world. It has been a relaxing weekend away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. Thank you Chris and Beth! We will definitely come back.
We had the most amazing time at the Pump House! The house was clean, up to date, and beautiful. The property was an absolute dream. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the trails, fields, and ponds on the property and we enjoyed watching the deer and fox in the morning. The hosts were very warm, welcoming, and helpful. Thank you so much Beth and Chris! We will be back!
My family and I fell in love with the Pumphouse the moment we stepped inside. It really exceeded our expectations. We did not check in until 9pm so when we woke up the next morning we were in awe of the beautiful property surrounding the house. The Pumphouse is fully equipped and met all of our needs. My oldest son wanted to just stay in the house all weekend to relax because it was so comfortable, quiet, and peaceful (colllege student and worked all summer long). Plenty of things to do within driving distance. And a plus, the host was quick to respond and kept in contact throughout our planning, travel, and stay. Would stay again and definitely recommend.
What a great way to spend some time in a cabin in the woods. The house was everything we saw in pictures, but so much more in person.
Even though we cooked almost every meal at the cabin, we enjoyed it immensely with the outdoor bbq, grill and burners.
There's a decent sized refrigerator in the house, with a small freezer, and the extra coolers outside were enough to keep a family of 4 with a pup in full supply of cold food and beverages.
The property was spectacular. We had the best day of our vacation in the streams and waterfalls in "our backyard" . We were so grateful to be able to bring our dog, Riley, too! So. Much. To. Sniff! She had a blast!
Campfires every night under the stars, full moon and Jupiter!
Our hosts were so gracious and accommodating. I wish we got to talk more about the history of the property and surrounding areas.
10 out of 10!
