In the middle of Mill Valley with wonderful surrounding, very quiet place with own parking lot, individual and high quality furnished with a good taste. We felt very comfortable there.

Four night in Mill Valley
Had everything we needed, short walk to local restaurants. Interior stairs are a little arduous, outdoor stairs are easier with bags. Beds were comfortable, everything was clean.

Amazing Location!
You cannot beat the location of this apartment, just steps away from everything. The apartment itself was very nice and cozy. It was the perfect place for us during our stay. I would stay here again if I needed to be back in the Bay Area for work.

Wonderful stay in Mill Valley
The apartment is right in town; close to shops, restaurants and hiking trails. It was well stocked with all the necessities. Wonderful gas fireplace and and big TV. Gary was very responsive and accommodating. My daughter and I throughly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome location!
Gary’s adorable apartment was perfect for our visit to the delightful village of Mill Valley. Best part was the location! Open the door and in seconds you are sipping coffee at charming cafes and strolling in stores and boutiques. You are close by to great walking trails. The apartment itself is super cute and clean. Loved the gas fireplace to take the chill off in the mornings. Bathrooms are very “cozy” i.e. tiny, but completely functional and clean. Gary was immediately responsive to my texts. Great place!

Everything we had hoped for
We rented 2 apartments from Gary. The studio below for my wife and I and this 3 bedroom for my 2 daughters, their family and 3 young grand Children. Both places were immaculately clean, spacious, thoughtfully appointed, and perfectly located since we were hosting a wedding at the Outdoor Art Club 2 blocks away. Gary was very available and accommodating, although we had few needs since everything was taken care of in advance. Don’t hesitate if you need a place in Mill Valley, studio, 1 or 3 bedroom, I would highly recommend Gary’s places. All of Mill Valley restaurants, coffee shops, markets and venues are within 1-3 blocks.

We initially booked this as the map showed it was in the village centre.However, it is a good 25 mins uphill from the centre. A lovely place but not convenient for the village. A car is needed for shopping etc. would stay again but bring the car.

Wonderful Stay in Mill Valley
Mill Valley is one of my favorite places on the planet. The apartment was located in the heart of downtown. It was the perfect size for my family. Was super nice the cupboard had all the basics needed for cooking: spices, olive oil, ect. And coffee filters. Check in was super easy so was check out. I will definitely be staying here again in the future. If you want to go into SF, it's only about a 20 minute drive, but there's plenty to do in surrounding redwood forests and Marin County.

Comfort for Singles in Mill Valley
The apt is like no other vacation rental. It features 3 private comfy bedrooms! A private bedroom is a dream for single travelers.Usually singles are crowded into two beds in one room. Here you can sink into the most comfy mattress ever and rest in between your adventures or scheduled workshops. You will have luscious comfort, privacy and convenience as well as a beautiful living room or outdoor space to reunite with loved ones. The apt gives you access to many shops and restaurants as well as a home kitchen stocked with everything you need to eat at home or to prepare lunch for the next day's trip to Point Reyes or Tennessee Valley for an inspiring hike.

Nice place with a couple of items to keep in mind.
Well maintained property, located smack dab in the middle of downtown Mill Valley. Overall we enjoyed the property. Several items to be aware of: 1) Garbage trucks come early in the morning almost every day to service surrounding businesses; 2) Need to climb a short but slightly steep staircase to enter apartment level; and lastly, 3) NO TV. Owner informed us that they had removed their TV the day before we arrived! Not a deal breaker but it was included as an amenity in the pricing of the property when we booked it. Fortunately, there is lots to do in the surroundings area but we were not informed in a timely manner to give us the opportunity to make another reservation.

I really loved the location with some reservations.
Upon arrival, our group was a bit disappointed that the property was behind a storefront, that it smelled a bit musty even though all the windows were open. We were also surprised that the apartment was an upstairs unit. The apartment was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well in spite of the noise. This unit is right downtown in Mill Valley. That makes it a wonderful place to stay. Plenty of restaurants, groceries, and a movie theater are just steps from the front door. The beautiful central plaza is right down the street. We enjoyed Mill Valley each evening after sight-seeing in San Francisco or Point Reyes. But if you are a light sleeper be fore-warned the buses start running early and trucks are emptying dumpsters at all the restaurants every morning and with open windows it gets noisy early. Both bathrooms were adequate, but small. Our only other complaint was the lack of air-conditioning when the heat wave hit. Being from Texas, I usually won't stay anywhere without AC, but I failed to confirm that before booking. And it was fine our first two days there, but then the temperature soared. We were gone most of the day and returned late from our evening tour of Alcatraz. Luckily, we located two fans that we could train right on our beds and it did cool down enough to sleep. But by the time we checked out at 10 am the following morning with the temperature in the 90's it was oppresive in the apartment. All in all, we enjoyed our stay with just a few reservations.

Family stayed here for our wedding a block away
A vase of fresh flowers and some snacks greeted us, which was such a kind gesture. The location is superb - walking distance to restaurants, the venue, and photo spots. Having a parking space was nice so we didn't have to street park (although keep in mind the driveway is long and narrow - slow and careful is best). As the listing mentions, a flight of stairs is required and we highly recommend the more comfortable exterior flight. We had carloads full of decor boxes and did ok with the steps. The decor is just as charming as pictured and was a great background for getting-ready photos for the bridal party. Washer/dryer was convenient. We had the unique experience of staying during a July heatwave, and Mill Valley, like much of the Bay Area, doesn't do air conditioning very well. It was unfortunately uncomfortably hot inside during the day but cooled down overnight and mornings were lovely. There is a window AC unit in the living room, so likely we would have had the same experience in any VRBO in the area. Perhaps another unit in the rear bedroom would be helpful for future summers. We are still glad we booked this spot for the cuteness and location!
