Majestic views of Mt. Tam! This modern-furnished, spacious, stand-alone guest house has spectacular views of Mt. Tam and is about half a mile to downtown Mill Valley. The bedroom with queen bed and half bath is on the entry level and then upstairs is an open floor plan with a full sized kitchen, dining area, full bath and living area.

Comfy sheets and towels, full washer/dryer, full size viking fridge, wine fridge, fully equipped kitchen with coffee/toaster/blender/silverware/cooking pots/etc, large screen TV, cable, curated art on the walls.

This guest house has a queen bed for two people. There is a convertible DWR sofa bed for two additional guests (must be under the age of 12 yrs old). $20 per additional guest.

Comfortable in Mill Valley
We were in Mill Valley for a wedding and stayed one week. Overall we enjoyed the location although parking is a little tight if your vehicle is on the bigger side. Appreciated the two story set up with the bedroom on the lower level and kitchen/living area on the top.

Bright, sunny, compact. Great spatial arrangement (I like duplexes) and lots of thoughtful touches. But drive a small vehicle (road is windy and narrow).

Perfect getaway.
We loved our stay at Grace's home! The property was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. We are already thinking about coming back and staying for longer - it felt like the perfect getaway to Mill Valley. Walkable to town (albeit a bit steep!), easy access to hiking trails, and a bit of peace and quiet. Highly recommend!

Great Property
Stayed here for two weeks and the property is great. Plenty of space, bed was very comfortable and had all the amenities required. Just outside of Mill Valley, far enough that the property is quiet and feels like a country house but being very close to the town centre. Host was very helpful and on hand if anything is required.

This was the perfect place for our Mill Valley stay. Tastefully decorated, awesome views of Mt. Tam, skylights, a nicely equipped kitchen, an extra half-bath, walkable to town and trails…all provided by a thoughtful host! We look forward to a return visit.

Wonderful forest/neighborhood views from upstairs level, easy reserved parking in fairly dense neighborhood, easy walk to town (likely faster than driving). Great bed, well appointed kitchen, full size washer/dryer. Convenient nearby services, very responsive host. Absolutely lovely stay

I enjoyed my stay at Grace's rental. The unit was very clean and had easy parking right in front. It's up high on the hill with beautiful views of Mt. Tam. Grace was easy to reach. Just a note to anyone with mobility issues-there is a steep staircase inside so could be problematic for some. Otherwise the coffee provided was great to have, beautiful skylights and very bright in the unit. Very cute. Would stay here again. Thank you.

Close to nature, but still close to town.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace's guest house in Mill Valley. It was perfectly situated for day trips to Muir Woods, Sonoma, Napa and San Francisco. It was a fun drive up the winding roads, some of which are narrow. The apartment all of the conveniences that you will need. Grace was very responsive for any questions that I had and had lots of recommendations printed out for us. The bathroom is quite compact as is the shower, and the bed was a bit soft for our backs. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.

Wonderful little house in a wonderful location!
This home had everything we needed for our 4 day weekend away. Very clean, very quiet, and out of this world views of Mt. Tam. Extremely convenient for all of the day trips we took.... Pt. Reyes, Napa, Mt. Tam, even down to Half Moon Bay. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are out in Marin County.

Lovely, light, bright, lots of natural light, furnished nicely, immaculate, many thoughtful touches such as abundant linen, towels and a well equipped kitchen. The location is convenient and beautiful. There was plenty of hot water and as it was cold and rainy, I was happy to have good heat. The bed was very comfortable. The division of space allowed two people to have privacy. The eating area was bright and cheerful. The area is quiet. This was a delightful place and we hope to return.

Lots of trees so it was colder than I expected - I am not complaining! I just didn’t pack enough warm clothes. The Mill Valley art and music festival happened while we were there so I got a fabulous shawl there that did the trick. Lovely place, wonderful host, cute little town. I want to go back!

Place to Rest & Rejuvenate
Photos do not do justice of the gorgeous gem! Tam as well as loads of natural light greet you every morning and are spectacular during sunset. Grace was extremely kind and fast to respond to any questions. The space itself was very clean and stocked well - kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with touches like a small book collection that covered everything I might have needed. While I stayed here for a conference in SF, was able to work remotely as well for a few days as Wifi was strong enough for meetings + other applications simultaneously. After hours, the Dipsea stairs were a short walk from the front door and Muir Woods as well as Mt Tam trails were brief drives away, perfect for unwinding. Very much enjoyed the stay and hope to find an opportunity to come back again.

i want to keep this quiet, but i quess i wont!
This review is something i don't like writing, why? because i'm about to review a wonderful very hip secret. and then its going to get booked all the time as it should be and i won't get to stay whenever i want. quiet area great views cool owner (but you will never see them unless you choose to) nice comfy bed, great kitchen, easy parking modern yet warm feel, close to town,close to the beach, easy great place to stay.

Secluded Stay With Beautiful Views
Silly ol me didn't check and see that there are hundreds of feet of elevation gain between the property and downtown Mill Valley, but that wasn't as much of an issue as I initially expected. The second floor is beautiful, full of light, and has clear views to Mt. Tam. The first floor is cooler, has a toilet that's secluded from the rest of the first floor but not closed off with a door. The bed is also not very comfortable, it felt like my head was slightly lower than the rest of my body, and there was large soft section on my wife's side of the bed that caused her to feel like she was going to fall out of it. Parking was easy, and access was private.

Needs attention
The stay in Mill Valley was peaceful. The house needs a bit of attention to cleanliness. There is also construction currently going on near the downstairs bedroom and the construction room has a shower curtain over it but is open to access. There was an odor of dampness or something due to this area not being properly blocked off. Really not okay. The oven isn't working as mentioned before on a previous review. I asked the owner and she thought it was operator error but I know how to use old stoves/ovens and this one doesn't have functional knobs to turn on the oven and the oven isn't working. Although there is a kitchen I would say it's limited to microwave, coffee pot and one frying pan with a burner for use. I rented the little house due to the photos but the furniture and carpet has a lot of use and generally the unit isn't clean and not as pictured. It is time for an update, just seems used and not cared for.
