You will have complete access to the cottage, the hosts are not onsite but avaiable anytime by phone or text.

Margaret's Bay, opening south directly onto the Atlantic, the bay's eastern shore is formed by the Chebucto Peninsula and its western shore by the Aspotogan Peninsula, while the head of the bay (the northern shore) is the main part of the Nova Scotia peninsula.

The bay's shoreline is mostly rocky, although the head of the bay offers several sandy beaches at Queensland, Black Point and Cleveland; another sandy beach exists on the western shore of the bay at Bayswater and there is a small sandy beach along the eastern shore on Micou's Island. St. Margarets Bay is a cruising destination for sailing yachts as its picturesque shorelines offer protection in many natural harbours, as well as anchorages in coves and near small islands.

Our recently renovated accommodations include two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and one with a daybed that pulls into a king. The sofa can also be used to sleep on, so we can accommodate up to five people. The accommodations also include a fully equipped kitchen, dining area inside or out, and a BBQ grill on the back deck.

Spend the day at one of the many beautiful beaches enjoying the breathtaking views, snorkeling, or collecting seashells. We are also a 7-minute drive to the Hubbards Trailhead, which is the start of "Rails to Trails," and is very popular with hikers. The trail is part of the South Shore's 109-km Rum Runners' Trail, which runs from Halifax to Old Town Lunenburg UNESCO World Heritage Site.

** PLEASE NOTE **

During wildfire risk season (15 March to 15 October), NO domestic brush burning or campfires are allowed between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Burn restrictions are updated daily at 2:00 pm at https://novascotia.ca/burnsafe/. If you are found to be violating daily burn restrictions the fine is $25,000 so please check the website before starting a campfire!

Current burning is only allowed between 7:00 pm and 8:00 am.

If you need firewood it can be purchased at Hubbards Hardware which is a 7 min drive from the cottage.

Your privacy is paramount to us. We adhere to all Airbnb policies regarding the placement of exterior cameras on our property. Rest assured, we respect your privacy at all times during your stay. Please note, we only utilize these measures to check on the property when it's vacant or during inclement weather conditions. As noted in the guest safety section of our listing you will note there are 3 exterior cameras on the property: one by the front door, one by the back door, and one on the side of the house.
