"Currently, the only completed mini villa out of four. The other three are constructed, but not completed. Because this was the only one it was wonderfully private. Everything was exactly as shown. The owner even had it cleaned midway through our 10 days day. An easy walk to the grocery store and the café. Nestled in Gonia with houses all around. We even saw a herd of sheep going up the road! "Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Nicht alles ist ganz neu, aber das unterstreicht den Charme des Hauses. Highlights waren für uns die große mit Wein überwachsene Terrasse und die vielen schattigen Plätzchen, z.B. unter dem Orangenbaum am Pool. Klitzekleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Matratzen in den Betten waren für uns eher hart, das ist sicher Geschmackssache. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert."

"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Alles in allem sehr schön. Ruhig, schöner Pool, sehr nette und hilfsbereite housekeeperin. Schnelle Kommunikation mit Vermieterin. Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Allerdings viele Krabbeltiere. Fliegengitter vor den Schiebefenstern und -Türen wäre extrem gut. Allerdings müsste man das Haus dann auch besser abdichten. Es dauert ewig (mehrere Minuten) bis heißes Wasser da ist. Fussboden ist wohl an einigen Stellen nass geworden. Müsste erneuert werden."

"We stayed for 10 nights at the start of October. The villa had everything required for a wonderful stay, and was fully equipped for a perfect self catering break. Fabulous views over Plakias bay, really enjoyed watching the sheep ambling across the mountainside towards Myrthios and listening to the faint tinkle of their Swiss cow bells. "We wanted to experience Crete's culture. You really cannot do that when you stay in a hotel with 500 or your favorite friends!! This Villa is located about 30 minutes from Rethymno. Nestled in the foothills surrounded by olive orchards at about 1100 feet above sea level. We were there for 18 days. We discovered a Taverna (Mina's) in Garazo about 15 minutes away. "We did enjoy our stay very much. The rooms were big enough for 4 people and quiet as well as clean. Very responsive service. The pool area though is too small - most beds were always taken and the water is very warm. There is no private beach nearby as mentioned in the property information. The property/rooms are a little dated too, especially the bathrooms. We would still come back as we enjoyed the great ocean view and the quietness of the rooms. "

"Absolutely incredible from arrival to departure. What stood out for us was the friendliness of all staff, the cleanliness of the whole place, the maintenance of the grounds and the quality of the food. We only did breakfast but wish we had done all inclusive. Absolutely outstanding and exceptional service. A nice touch was the offer of drinks on arrival. The hospitality all around was amazing and we already can't wait to return. Thank you "
