I am really disappointed of the services performed by the local Vrbo representatives and do not intend to book with Vrbo in the future. Here are the reasons:
- Reservation paid in full by bank transfer and confirmed on July 19 for the period 8-18.08.2024.
- On August 5, we asked for final details to reach the property smoothly.
- On August 6, in the evening (less than 48 hours before the expected start of the stay!) we were informed by the local representative that they found the house owner living in the house and not willing to free it for rental within for the agreed dates.
- The representative refunded the amount, but did not offer an alternative, so we had to make another booking on our own, with all cost and limited choice disadvantages.
To prevent this unacceptable situation from repeating, it would be useful to check the way Vrbo maintains (misleading) information updated on the website and commits to accepting payments and confirming reservations without checking.
