The modern design was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were fortunate to receive excellent assistance from Ms. Senuri, who provided thorough explanations and support. One thing to keep in mind is that, due to the hotel's proximity to the lake, there are quite a few insects."

"The Chaarya Resort and Spa is a gorgeous hotel set in a beautiful palm tree lined property. They have a very refreshing pool, a cool outdoor bar, pool table, games area, gym and spa facilities. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, they have multiple gardeners working the lawns all the time. The hotel consists of multiple 1 or 2 story buildings meaning that its private and quiet. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The whole hotel has very chill vibes with music playing throughout. You definitely feel very relaxed throughout the stay. The only improvement I can recommend is the food at the restaurant. They probably need more variety throughout the days. The food was average, not great. But the hotel is within walking distance to some fantastic local restaurants so it wasn't a problem. The value for money at this hotel is incredible. "

"We had a great 1 night stay and did a safari also. The hosts are a wonderful family , very accommodating and provided everything we needed. I highly recommend staying at Mansala safari house and make sure you do a safari whilst there."

"The Hantara lodges are close to the Udawalawal National Park and very convenient for safaris and the elephant orphanage. The staff are very helpful and attentative. We stayed 2 nights with other guests staying one night. Basic facilities which is great for a short time"
