Vintage cabin in the ❤️ of Middletown , MD. Pet friendly and prime location.

Cozy cabin in the ❤️ of Middletown, MD. Within walking distance to quaint Middletown restaurants, shops, & parks. Set your sights on adventure within a short drive. Enjoy downtown Frederick restaurants, shops, parks, & nightlife. Visit the local wineries, breweries & festivals. Hike the Appalachian trail. Float the Potomac River. Bike the C&O Canal. Ski the slopes @ area ski resorts. Golf 18 holes @ the championship golf course. Visit wedding venues. Go antiquing. Tour quaint nearby towns, etc.... Charming cabin is furnished to feel like home. This cabin is a dream, built in the 1890's and restored several times ~ the last restoration upon my purchase in 2016. A very quaint, rustic home with new HVAC and a propane fireplace for those chilly days. Queen size memory foam, plush pillow top mattress with hotel quality linens, plush pillows, and soft duvet covers for a restful nights sleep. Drift off to sleep watching the bedroom TV. There is a queen size EZ Bed with a comfy air mattress stored in closet available for set up and room in the loft bedroom with hotel bedding. Plush bath towels for comfort. Leather sofa situated close to propane fireplace and mounted smart TV. Cable knit throw and pillows to stay cozy. Kitchen with cooktop, oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee maker with ground coffee provided and appointed nicely if you decide to eat in. Bottled waters in fridge upon arrival. Kitchen is fully finished with quality pots & pans, bakeware, mixing bowls, stoneware plates, bowls, coffee mugs, vintage style glassware, wine glasses, bottle opener, wine screw, etc..Front and side porches. A shed for storage during your stay if you bring bikes, kayaks, skis, golf clubs etc...A paved drive with two parking spaces. WIFI and cable. There are so many adventures to explore nearby but you won't want to leave your getaway cabin. For the business traveler, this cabin offers an affordable, comfortable stay and a private place to unwind after the work day is over with many options to grab a bite to eat and a cocktail before turning in or throw a steak on the grill and enjoy some quiet time in the backyard, some porch sitting, or catch up on the days events under a shade tree. A desk is furnished in the bedroom for a lap top etc.. We look forward to you enjoying a stay in our cabin as much as we do. Happy to be your host! Discounted rates available for week or month stays. Links for recommendations. Please refer to cancellation policy for any cancellations. All refunds/cancellations processed in accordance with the policy. Please keep in mind this is an 1880 historic cabin. It is constructed of wood ~ this may not be a good choice for those with asthma etc. Due to the loft and steps to reach bedroom & bath, the cabin also not be suitable for those with mobility issues. This is also not a good fit for minimalist. There is decor as shown in the pictures & the cabin space while cozy & welcoming is only 700 sq ft. Please make sure shower liner is in shower unit when showering. If not, the water on bath floor will leak to the kitchen below.

Guest have access to the entire cabin, yard, driveway (2 parking spaces easily) , street parking, porches, and large shed with electric (storage for bicycles, kayaks, ski equipment, fishing rods, golf clubs etc during stay)

Overnight in Cozy Cabin
Such a quaint little cabin! It had the rustic feel, but was located in town, so very convenient. The stairs to the upstairs bedroom were a bit tricky, but also added to the charm of the cabin. Overall, very impressive!

Great little cabin!
I stayed for four nights to get some work done, and everything was great. The cabin was exactly as pictured/listed. Suggestion to property manager: consider adding some non-slip grips in the tub and including a bath mat for the bathroom floor. (But this does not take away from the rating--the place is great!)

Great cabin
My wife LOVED it here. Yes it’s an old cabin But it was furnished wonderfully and very comfortable. We had a great stay and have already recommended this place to a few friends. Over all I give it an A and this one ranks up in the top 5 of our vrbo vacation rentals

Middletown in the middle of history
Nice, adequately furnished "old" house. It was within walking distance of downtown and several restaurants. Various sights to see and things to do in the area, including The Washington monument on the Appalachian trail and some Civil War sights.

Woudlnt reccomend
Wanted a nice place to hangout for the day for a birthday and was greeted with moldy wood smell when entering, very small cluttered interior which makes it very hard to breathe if you have asthma, most lightbulbs were not changed, couch is tiny and filled with junk surrounding it, bed had stains and bathroom had spider webs all over the surrounding area which made using it very uncomfortable, we sat down for 30 mins then agreed anything would be better than staying at in grandmas basement for the night, owner was nice but the address provided in link is wrong, waste of money.

We love this cabin. We only came in for one night but we would love to comeback for a weekend stay. It was like a trip back in time. Bed was very comfortable. This was a nice little fine.

This was a mistake
Owner was less than welcoming from the start (unlike others that thanked me for making reservations & immediately providing information to make my planning & stay nice) when I asked for reservation confirmation, I was (snottily) told that I should, "read the description of the property better that she would give me information the Thursday before check in". All other communication was the same;. snide & owner HAD to have the last, vitriolic word. I SHOULD have canceled but I encountered this too close to the start of the reservation & I would have lost all my money. (which I ended up loosing anyway as we left and did not stay even one night) The cabin was so chock full of "decorations" there was little space to sit. It was like Hobby Lobby exploded in this tiny cabin. Although the basic cabin by itself was super cute, the very musty/moldy/dusty smell kept us from being able to stay even one night. I have asthma and just sitting inside for 30 mins was unpleasant. Maybe this would not bother someone else who does not have breathing issues. This place might be ok for a ONE night stay. Also as others have noted, the bathroom & bedroom are up a very dangerous staircase with a large gap between the upstairs & the start of the stairs...so for small pets or children, this would be a horrible choice of places to stay. We are campers and very used to small spaces & "roughing it" but this cabin was too rough for us. (now just watch...owner will have something snotty to add now....lol)

Cute House!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was so cute. Not really complaints but the floors were very dirty( I had to wash the bottom of my feet before i could go to bed), we only had one thing of toilet paper between 2 people for 2 days so of course we ran out and lastly the comforter had some stains on it so we just took it off when we went to bed but overall we had a fantastic time and would like to come back:)

Cute Rustic Cabin
Great overnight stay in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Stairs to bedroom are narrow/steep without a strong railing, combined with uneven floor places, this would not be good for anyone with balance/instability issues or children. The staircase is open and could be dangerous for anyone not steady on their feet! Otherwise, is very clean and comfortable for a short stay!
