"We only were there for 1 night but it was a very comfy and enjoyable one. We had dinner there and it was very good also breakfast next morning was cooked as you ordered and a very good choice of cold items we had room 5 and it was a beautiful room with tea and coffee making facilities"

"Lovely old building with all its characteristics. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. stayed for 2 nights and only ate there and the food was outstanding. "

"I would like to have given 5 star for service as when we ordered food from the bar the staff were attentive, polite and very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. However earlier in the evening I called the restaurant from the room to book a table, when I had only said hello I was met with a very abrupt ‘the line is terrible’ to which I stated ‘I’m sorry I’m calling from one of the phones in the rooms’. I then proceeded to request a table and again very abruptly told we have nothing until 8.30/8.45. I really felt like it was too much trouble and didn’t feel welcomed at all. I booked the table initially for 6 people, we were I fact part of a lager group of around 20 people staying at the hotel for an event we were attending the next day. Having spoke to the other people in the party we decided against it and ate from the bar instead. I would not recommend anyone to book to dine at the restaurant based on this encounter. Also may I add that most of the tables were not occupied from around 7pm until the time we were told we could eat from so I don’t understand why we couldn’t get a reservation either. Very disappointing experience. "

"Fantastic hotel. Pool isn’t in the actual hotel so we didn’t try it, but the hotel is great. Very clean, very helpful staff, very comfortable. "

"Stayed in the Eskeleth room - eccentric decor that feels luxurious. Nice views of the dales in a commanding position by the green in Reeth. Breakfast very good with lots of choice. Also had an evening meal which was very good as well. Staff very helpful and attentive. Parking on site. Would recommend for a short stay in the Dales."

"Very much enjoyed my stay here. Travelling alone this time, so wasn’t in one of the larger rooms. It had everything I needed though. Particularly appreciated the friendly staff on reception and the availability of some parking. Would be very happy to stay here again. "
