Unwind while surrounded by nature in a renovated 2 - bedroom house on George Lake. You will be set up to enjoy the perfect getaway, whether you’re hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, shopping, or just hanging out. Remote, but only half a mile from US 41, this house is uniquely situated for day trips across the UP. The neighborhood is close to attractions like Canyon Falls and the entrance to Craig Lake State Park, the most remote state park in Michigan.
Guest will have access to a section of private lakefront, a private cleared back yard, and the entire home. There is a small, local road between the house and the lake. There are normally about 5 - 10 cars per day that will pass by. Guests will have access to a two-person kayak, fire pit, charcoal grill, and small swimming dock. Guests may also use the single-car garage.
Long-time hosts have designed this home to create the perfect experience. The space has been thought out to ensure easy and enjoyable vacations. There are two bedrooms, a game room, a living room, a private working space, and a well-stocked kitchen with a dining area.
There is a bathroom with a shower and tub combo and a washer and dryer for your convenience. A pellet stove in the game room keeps things cozy on cooler nights.
There is also an outdoor deck on the side of the home and a fire pit with Adirondack chairs right at the water's edge. A small dock makes it easy to get in and out of the lake for swimming and kayaking.
The driveway can accommodate snowmobile and boat trailers. The property is about 1 mile from the nearest snow mobile trail and half a mile from the Beaufort Lake boat launch.
We provide a visitor guidebook with tips to enjoy the UP seven days before arrival. There is also a physical copy at the house.
