McIntosh is home to several antique shops, beautiful Van Ness Park, and the McIntosh 1890s Festival. And for you fishermen and women, Orange Lake is 12550 acres of paradise. With many locations to launch your vessel, you are bound to find the perfect fishing spot.

20 minutes to UF, Shands Hospital, VA Hospital. Gainesville is home to the University of Florida, and the Fighting Gators....who are having an awesome season this year!! Gainesville also boasts the Florida Museum of Natural History, the Butterfly Rainforest, and the Harn Museum of Art.
25 minutes to Downtown Ocala.
5 blocks from Orange Lake.
Historic Micanopy is 7 miles away. Voted cutest town in the USA, with dozens of antique shops, several restaurants, and lots of old Florida charm. In October Micanopy hosts the Micanopy Fall Harvest Festival... art, crafts, music, antiques, food...a full day of fun!
Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park is 8 miles away. Hiking, a 50 foot observation tower, wild horses, bison, and a museum.
There are many springs, lakes, and rivers within a 45 minute drive, both north and south of McIntosh. Some as close as a mile or two. Swimming , kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and hiking are popular activities in our area. There are locations to rent equipment, some right on the waters edge, which makes having fun easy!
