Nice Hotel now called The Broadmoor, on the beach
Great little hotel with a Mexican Tapa's bar attached to it where the food was delicious, cross the parking area and you are on the beach, away from the hussle and bustle of the south beach so a bit of a trek to find other eating places nearby. Overall although we only had an overnight stopover we will be going back sometime in the future.

It is not a Days Inn. The hotel is now a Broadmoore. Tile grout was dirty and the tub. It hadn’t been cleaned in months. The hotel is in an area of town with several run down buildings.

Great location, in need of updating.
This is no longer a Days Inn & even though it was a great location & the staff were great, this place is badly in need of an update. Only 1 elevator that took forever so we used the stairs most of the time. The room, although comfy, was dirty & in serious need of repair to the bathroom & shower. If you don’t mind being in a room that needs repair, this is in a great location to the beach & shops & food. Walking distance to everything you need. But an old run down hotel for sure.

The rooms were clean, simple, and comfortable for the amount of time we spent there. The staff was excellent and gave great suggestions for places to eat. If you are looking for "high end" luxury, this probably isn't the place for you, but it was just what we were looking for while staying at the beach.

The location was awesome walking distance to the beach. Staff was great. With the price we paid would have thought the quality of the rooms would have been better. Bathrooms were not clean. Musty odor in the room. And the bed was worn to where there was visible indent in the mattress. Overall a little disappointed with the room great location and staff.

We called the hotel to advise that we would be checking in later due to delayed flights and found out that the hotel had recently changed ownership and name (now called Broadmoor) and also told us we had two reservations. We told him no, we had only one confirmed. Our Expedia booking was for 3 nights (reserved and paid for 5 months before). We arrived at the hotel around 9 pm and were looking forward to getting our room. We spoke to a woman at the desk. We showed our Expedia reservation confirmation a paid ocean view room She again said we had two rooms reserved! She stated that she couldn't guarantee an ocean view and did not have record of being paid by Expedia. Then she became busy and then distracted with a conversation with her friend, and told us to call Expedia, she couldn't help. We called Expedia's customer service, waited and they were unable to help us because they were downloading their system and it would take three hours before they could access records! The Expedia agent said that the reservation clerk could call the Expedia number for hotels. The desk clerk was reluctant to wait on the line with Expedia and seemed to care less. At our urging she finally got in touch with Expedia and followed their instructions for Expedia's virtual credit card. The hotel had not notified Expedia that they had changed from a Days Inn earlier that month. Very disappointed after 2 hrs. we got our room! : (

Incredibly unfit for use.Dirty linens,public areas
It is no longer a Days Inn. It hasn't been updated, renovated or properly cleaned since the sixties. Our room was not ready at the time we arrived and we were told we could use the pool. We had 4 adults and 4 children ages 3 to 14 in our group. We were given filthy towels to use at the pool. We were told we could use the lobby bathroom to change. The ladies room was dirty. Someone had defecated on the floor of the men's room. The lobby smelled of pot and overpowering disinfectant. We left and found a nearby restaurant to have something to eat. When we returned, one room was ready. When we finally got into our room, it was dingy at best. The bathroom floor tiles were dirty. The two double beds had the "Mattresses" I'd ever seen. When you sat on them they made a noise. I was afraid to look to see what they were made of, but I believe it was old, dried out foam rubber. This room too, smelled really badly. We were unable to find any other available accomodations, so we slept on top of the bedspread, with the light on. The "included" breakfast consisted of single serve boxes of cereal, coffee maker and bread to toast, in a room that used to be a hotel bar and was now under construction, complete with spackle buckets, and saw horses. This hotel would have had a nerve charging $49 per night. At $179, it was a disgrace. It should be shut down.

Old hotel that is run down.
Old hotel that is run down. You couldn’t flush toilet paper down toilet because it would plug line. The only nice thing was it was close to beach. They didn’t have my reservation so I had to call travelocity to get confirmation for them.

We stayed one night at the hotel . There were nine of staying, five us shared a suite. We all went to bed early and was woke up by someone knocking on our saying that they had left something in our room. It wasn’t not hotel staff or security but someone that has already checked out of the hotel.

We had rented a 2 bedroom suite. No mirrors in the rooms, bathroom only. 1 Bathroom for the two rooms that was very outdated Friends we traveled with had a large balcony - Not a chair on it! Never again!!

Dilapidated hotel room
We were not happy with our recent hotel stay. Family with young kids. Location is great but other than that not worth a stay. Very strong chemical smell in hotel probably from cleaning products. Bathroom was dirty and in need of an update. We didn't even want to use the facilities. Tub and toilet were plain gross. Faucet had to be turned in every direction to get water flow to stop. Room itself was clean but small. Breakfast was good. Front desk employee went out of his way to help me contact taxi company which I appreciated very much.

Our room had No telephone, according to the website when we booked WiFi was free but in fact we had to pay a $15 resort fee which pays for the Internet and so called breakfast...not worth eating. Our bathtub / shower was dirty and the grate was not totally screwed onto the wall. None of us would even take a shower and we're happy we only had one nights stay. Also the pool area was closed. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The best thing was the staff are friendly

hotel facility and amenities were lacking.
Upon checking in and settling down to relax I turned on the TV only to find that it was not working properly. The desk sent a maintainence man who made some slight improvement, but I was left with only about six or seven channels none of which were clear. After further complaint to the desk I was told that the hotel was in the process of changing cable providers and that it wouldn't be completed until sometime in February. The next day there was some improvement, but still limited selection and poor reception. On the second day of my stay, as Miami was tying their record high temperature for January 29, I could not locate ice. When I asked the desk where I could find some I was told that there was none available in the entire hotel. There were other smaller problems with electrical outlets and breakfast, but I won't go on. I have stayed at other Days Inns many times in the past without any problems such as these. Not only has my opinion of Days Inn been greatly diminished, I also have to reevaluate my opinion of Expedia.

Great location but problems at check in
It is a nice deco hotel with comfortable beds in a great location by the beach. I had an issue at check in that caused many problems. I paid for the hotel on Hotels.com and they debited my checking account for the amount. I checked in at the desk and told the clerk I had already paid on Hotels.com. I gave her my photo ID and debit card for incidentals. I checked my account in the room and she had charged me twice for the room I had already paid for. She said she would reverse them but the damage was already done. Bank of America froze my card for possible fraud and I was not able to use it again.

Amazing Staff/Old Hotel
The staff at this Days Inn were all amazing, friendly, and extremely helpful. The hotel itself was very old and run down. Do not expect anything amazing when you stay here as far as the room is concerned. But, on the plus side, there’s a bar with 2 GREAT bartenders!

This hotel is misrepresented by it's pictures.
While this hotel is close to the beach, it is in terrible need of an redo. The online pictures are not what you get! It is very dark, unsafe (no locks or screens on the windows, can't see out the peephole in the door).The beds were very squeeky(you couldn't even put your hand down on the bed without it making a noise.) The breakfast may have been ok if you like toast, but we opted to go elsewhere. The breakfast room had 1 long table in it and was very dark. The pool area looked like it hadn't been swept in a while and there was mouse or rat poop on the stairs going out to the pool. Don't go here!!!
