the pros; in a convenient, central area near most things, right in south beach. In the room itself the staff did the best job they could to clean this rundown facility but the hallways and entrance were dirty. room looked like a prison cel/dorm. small, run down, ugly mis matched, beat up old furniture. scratched, chipped walls. screws in the walls. no phone no free TV- had to use your own app but wouldn't let me sign in. horrible old windows that were filthy and wouldn't close so very nosey from street traffic and all the greasy smells from restaurant came in room. not pleasant. i was very disappointed that expedia gave this hotel (if you can call it that) an excellent rating. Over 7.5. I had to apologize to my husband for booking this place. Photos can be deceiving and the bathroom had been renovated. I should have clued in when i read in the reviews about "not bad for a discount hotel" but i chose it because of the reviews saying it was very clean. They must have closed their eyes on the way in. This place is barely more than a hostel, but you have your own bathroom. For $500 CDN for 2 nights I expected a respectable hotel. Expedias star rating system is messed up. There is no way this place should be in the same category as respectable hotels. It should be rated below the other "discount" hotels such as days inn etc. but at least with discount chains you usually know what to expect. the other Lowkl hotels must be disgusting as this one had the best ratings.

The location was excellent and well serviced, but remember that you are on a party street, so expect some noise. It might have helped slightly if one of the wind panes wasn't a single sheet of PVC instead of actual glass. This also made the room slightly cold.

When we arrived we arrived about 1 hour late so we received the worst room I believe. The utensils were not super clean, and there was a sign that said that you have to wash your own dishes. But I just wonder how am I supposed to watch dishes without a kitchen sink, so I just wash them in the bathroom sink. I asked for a towel never received nothing not even a knock on the door that they didn't weren't able to provide one. You have to throw out your own trash, but we didn't know where to throw the trash cuz there was no sign on to where to throw the trash. Let me tell you that place is not quiet on the inside and even on a Monday it's loud. People are coming in and out constantly the door is slamming. A good thing will have to be is the bed we like the bed and it didn't give us a backache. We had air conditioning a blow dryer an iron board (but it looked old and dingy). The bathroom did have a little mold on the on the silicone surrounding the bathtub. A good thing was that they did have beach towels in the room the bad thing was that we never found where to get the complimentary beach chairs.you would think it would be across the street at the beach or something but it wasn't. Someone was telling us we had to walk to the Palm Royale which is pretty far to walk when you're trying to just chill at the beach. Yeah this location is convenient and cheap but I don't think I'll be coming back for sure to this location

Very awkward entrance. Does not have parking. You have to pay $40 per parking. The code didn't work when we came. We had to ask the cleaning lady to help us out. We received a txt that we have take care of the trash and any dishes. We just came here because our flight got canceled. The room size is fine. But its very loud here. Also the AC unit makes a loud noise. I wouldn't stay again here. On the pictures it shows the beach as a view. All that is a brick wall from another building. If you are a guest here you shouldn't be cleaning or getting the trash out. We paid $30 for service. Not as the pictures.

For the price location was great, room was nice spacious. Unfortunately the bathroom really smelt like mildew. We had problem with front door lock staff was hard to contact but after several calls they took care of problem really quickly.

This hotel was very noisy, the door keypads were not working each time we had to call to get in. Bathroom was smelling terrible could sleep the whole night. The mattress was not good enough to hold two person. Over all not worth. It was hard to find as well
