"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joelle and Christian’s gite. Both very helpful; neither speak English but Joelle is very animated so you should get the gist of what she is saying. However at first it was difficult to find as the listing shows it in the center of Rousillon. Once we found it and met the owner, she was very responsive despite the fact that we spoke little French and she spoke little English. "This accommodation is in a beautiful location. There is parking on site and this is secured by locked gates in the evening. Michael (the owner) is very accommodating, flexible and helpful. There was a garage that we were able to store our bikes in, which was very useful. If the place is busy, the cycle storage could get full though, so maybe worth checking if this is a priority. "We absolutely loved our time at this loft style apartment. We found it very spacious for 2 people and spent a lot of our 3 weeks there gazing out the window at the activity in the church square. Everything from market (literally right outside your door), to children going to school, elderly folks walking their dogs, people in cafes, tourists, etc. However, by nightfall, it was exceptionally quiet to sleep.
