Welcome to Tom's Place, a tranquil retreat with a modern and unique touch. Honoring our late and famous furry friend, Tom, this three bdrm/2bath home sleeps up to 8 guests, with extra space available if you bring an RV, UTV/trailer to park in a locked, gated area. Enjoy seamless indoor/outdoor living with a pool, fire pit, grill, and al fresco dining area. Located in a quiet neighborhood, it’s the perfect blend of fun, relaxation, and style for a memorable getaway for the whole family to enjoy.

Tom’s Place is named to honor our beloved dog, Tom, who was a true globetrotter. He is internationally renowned as he traveled with his owner, Randi, when she was performing around the world. Tom graced TV screens, stages, and red carpets with his charm and character. Naming our home after him is a tribute to his extraordinary, adventure-filled life and the joy he brought to all he met.

* Base fee is for 6 guests.

* Non/low shedding DOGS ONLY allowed upon approval. $150 per dog per stay or week - max of 2 pups. Sorry no kitties allowed because of allergies. Please inquire before reserving for approval of your pet. If you do have a service animal for a disability, we would appreciate prior communication.

* Unless you have made your reservation on Airbnb, there will be a security deposit HOLD of $500 during your stay. Your card should not be charged unless there are damages or extra cleaning found after checkout.

****Our home is a No-smoking property ($500 fine), and we ask that guests remove their shoes as we strive to have the cleanest and best maintained property we can for comfortable guest stays.

* Please inquire for stays over 2 weeks as extra cleaning fees apply.

*Because of the pool and safety concerns, please leave the slider locked if children are in the home unless supervised outside by an adult. There is an alarm with a noise bypass on the slider leading to the pool. It can be annoying, but required by state law. However, this can be turned off by a switch. If turned off or the batteries are removed, it is at your own risk. Also, it must be turned on and/or batteries re-installed before checkout. Thank you.


YOUR INDOOR SPACE-
Bedrooms: Although our home is a 3 bedroom home, we can sleep four adults separately with our convertible king to 2 single beds configuration in one of the guest rooms. Our primary offers a king bed with attached bath and the second guest room has a queen bed. A sofa bed is located in the living room for extra guests. With all new and quality mattresses and comfy linens, you will have a great night's sleep after playing all day. All mattresses and pillows are encased with a protective covering to keep you safe from unwanted elements. Roku TVs are located in the primary and second bedroom. We have streaming capabilities but no local TV unless attached to your app.

Bathrooms: Our two bathrooms, one attached to the primary bedroom, are fully stocked with luxury towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and more, keeping your packing to a minimum.

Kitchen: If you like to provide meals at home, this is the place to do it. Full cookware and some bakeware are provided. Beautiful indoor and separate outdoor dishes are for your use as well as coffee & filters, tea, spices, barbeque utensils and more. The coffeemaker makes fresh brewed coffee or utilizes pods – your choice!

Living room: Step into a cozy living room designed by a real production design team, where style meets comfort. Enjoy your favorite shows on the Roku TV or gather around the stunning dining table that seats eight, highlighted by a unique light fixture. The sliding door seamlessly connects to a backyard with an indoor/outdoor living space, perfect for relaxing and entertaining.

YOUR OUTDOOR SPACE -
POOL: Bask in the sun and cool off in the well-maintained outdoor pool, your perfect retreat for relaxation and fun. With multiple sun loungers provided, this serene space offers ample room to unwind and soak up the rays. Whether you're taking a refreshing dip or lounging poolside, the inviting backyard area provides a tranquil setting for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment.

FIRE PIT AND DINING TABLE: Step into your private outdoor haven, where every detail is designed for relaxation and enjoyment. Gather around the cozy fire pit, surrounded by Adirondack chairs, perfect for warming up, sipping a drink, and engaging in lively conversation under the stars. For those who love to cook outdoors, a dedicated gas grill awaits, ready for you to prepare delicious meals. Dine al fresco at the charming outdoor dining space, where you can savor your meals amidst a tranquil and inviting setting. This thoughtfully designed area ensures you make the most of every moment spent outdoors.

RV SPACE: Our property includes a dedicated RV space featuring full hookups (50 amp) for your convenience. Guests can enjoy the comfort of the main home while additional party members can stay in the RV on the property, benefiting from full hookups for a seamless experience. Not needing hookups? Park your UTV and trailer behind the locked gate for security and your peace of mind.

PARKING: We offer free parking in our 2 car garage, driveway and street parking.

Our home is completely yours for your stay. There is a locked closet in the hallway and garage for cleaning supplies/restocking, etc. Please let us know if you need anything restocked during your stay.

Our co-hosts, J and Amy, live less than 10 minutes away and can help you whenever you need. Please reach out on the message feed first. If they have not responded within 10 minutes, please give them a call. If there is an emergency or issues with your check-in code, please call them right away.

Tom's Place is centrally located in the sleepy town of Mesquite. On a cool day, it is within walking distance of the Casablanca (1 miles), movie theatre (.2 of a mile), fast food (1 mile), Restaurants (.5 of a mile). The quiet and safe neighborhood consists of single family homes and welcomes guests.

Mesquite is walking and bicycle friendly and many places of businesses are within walking distance when the temps are reasonable. However, getting to and from golf courses, the grocery store, etc., we suggest a car.

* Propane fire pit and barbeque should be operated and supervised by adults only.

* Please remove your shoes.

* Garage Remote - Please leave where you found it. $200 replacement fee if lost.

*Absolutely no dogs allowed in the pool.

* Please keep noise to a minimum in respect for our neighbors, especially outside. Quiet hours are 10:00PM-8:00 AM. If management is called out for a complaint, there will be a fee of $100.

*Absolutely no dogs allowed in the pool.

* NO GLASS OR CERAMIC materials outside please. There are melamine dinnerware and glasses that can be used in the outdoor area. We want to ensure a safe walking space for bare feet.

*Quiet hours are between 10:00 pm am and 8:00 am.

*When finished with the umbrellas, please wrap them. If windy, please wrap them and don't use unattended if windy. The wind will snap it in half.

*If young children are staying, please make sure the LOCK on the slider door is LOCKED at all times. There is an alarm with a bypass to ensure little ones safety. Removing the batteries is at your own risk and must be replaced at checkout. The front door must be locked at all times as there is direct access to the pool. There is a locking gate for entry into the yard. This needs to be shut and locked at all times for the safety of all.

TVs - The TVs are Roku TVs. Feel free to sing in as a guest following the Roku Guest directions found in the guidebook.

Shoes - Please remove your shoes. The asphalt residue is very hard on the flooring, leaving a black dinge.

CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS: 10:00 AM
1) Please make sure instructions for pool checkout are completed and trash is picked up outside.
2) Locate garage door opener and place it on the kitchen counter.
3) Start one load of towels.
4) Load and start the dishwasher.
6) Locate all remotes and leave them in plain view in their respective rooms.
7) Please set AC/Heater unit to 80 in the summer, and 69 in the winter.
8.) Please scrape grill and pick up dog poop, placing it in the garbage.
9) A quick message letting J and Amy know you have checked out is very helpful to housekeeping.

This is the best VRBO we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many over the past 10 years or so. Everything in the home was perfect. The small details were attended to and nothing was left to want. I would recommend this house to anyone and will be booking here again.
