"We spent six nights in the East Wing of the Chateau. The photos were accurate, but the house feels a bit worn. The town of Grandcourt has only a bar - no bakery or restaurant, and the closest grocery is about 5 KM away, so we had to drive for everything. I had hoped it would be a good base for WWI touring (and had even specifically inquired about that) but all the real WWI sites were at least a 1-2 hour drive away.
