Great place to stay
Spent 3 nights here for Muzzleloader hunting. Worked great enough room and very affordable place to stay. Conveniently located close to public land, nice bars, casino and Jimmys In Between.

2023 UTV Trip
Quick trip North for side by side trail ride. Great location to local restaurants and access to the trail. Four people total with plenty of room to spare. Would stay here again. Very accommodating for early check in and we were able to check out and leave our trucks/trailers at property while we rode trails the final day.

Great cabin for just two adults
Very nice cabin for two adults and maybe one child. In great condition. I would suggest taking down the animal rug hanging up on the wall. Does not look very clean at all.

Perfect wind down
This is a great little cabin that you can sit back relax and just decompress. It's small and just right, it's not like you went up north and rented just another house, this place has character you will appreciate vey fast. the kitchen and bath were well stocked and the winter quite made for great sleeping. Will stay again.

Hatfield weekend
Was just right for coming back to relax, cook , and sleep after spending the day at the beach or golfing. We didnt realize you have to furnish your own toilet paper though and only had a roll and a half when we arrived. Othherwise it was nice cabin.

Cute African Safari theme, tiny but roomy, had everything we needed for a comfy stay!
We were very pleased with the cabin. It was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed bonfires in the evening, it was quiet and we slept well. The owner/manager was very responsive, though we had no major issues. We would recommend this our family and friends.

Good deal
Quiet stay....very clean; not a lot of TV stations....but enjoyed watching DVDs; jacuzzi a work in progress, but quite roomy. Not too far from La Crosse and quite close to Black River Falls, a charming little town. Loved the fully-equipped kitchen, which saved us a lot of money. Very reasonable price...would stay here again.

One queen bed in the loft. Two single beds in room off the living room. Many amenities are provided, such as towels and soap. Unique animal pelts. Small but nice living space. We are usually only there to sleep and riding trails the rest of the time.

Cozy in the woods
We enjoyed our visit to this cozy cottage in the woods. The kitchen has everything you need including microwave. Full size appliances and kitchenware allow as much meal prep as you may want when the local restaurants are closed. Weather prevented us from enjoying lake activities so it was nice to curl up with a book on the sofa and enjoy the solitude and quiet.

Cozy cabin
We ( two couples) enjoyed staying here. It was clean, has a nice kitchen and is interestingly decorated. We liked that we could ride our ATVs from the cabin to the trails. Blake had turned on the furnace before we arrived and we really appreciated the warmth when we got back that night after being caught in the rain trail riding. This was our first visit to the area and hope to return because there are so many great trails and things to see. Bill, Sharon, David & Pam

The Perfect Cabin!
We LOVED our stay! The cabin was clean and well stocked with cooking supplies, linens, games, books, etc. The fenced in backyard was such an awesome bonus - that is so rare to find in a rental and so we were glad to be able to bring our dogs with us. There was plenty of firewood to enjoy a fire each night we were there. The property owner and manager were very quick to respond to our questions and were very polite and easy to work with. We had one small issue pop up while we were there and Blake came out to address it right away. I would absolutely recommend this cabin, it made for the perfect vacation.

Finding the location was easy. Very quiet area near the lake. Loved watching the wildlife out the side window while eating meals. A number of cheese and winery shops were easy to drive to. A number of maintenance items were identified after check in that needs to be addressed. Would recommend adding more lamps and bring back to table versus an island which was hard to eat at. Safety issue with the stairs as rails are loose and needs a vertical rail to help people with knee issues.

Quaint, slightly dirty property in ATV area
The first plank in the deck fell off when we stepped on it (we moved it out of the way for our stay). The provided window fan shorted out a circuit breaker (we flipped the circuit breaker back and ignored the fan). The decor was odd for BRF but as advertised. The carpeted stairs up to the top loft were filthy (our feet were covered with sand by the time we reached the top). The top bedroom was less than clean (false eyelash found in the bed, cheetos underneath). The ATVs went until 1am. Someone started using a portable saw around 8. All in all, it was a decent place, but they definitely did *not* earn their higher-than-average cleaning fee.

Wondeful week of vacation!
My family and I loved this cabin! It made a very nice home-away-from-home for our week-long vacation. I have been coming to Hatfield every summer of my entire life (except for the summer of 1993 after the great flood). My grandparents started the tradition of camping in Hatfield 45+ years ago, and the family tradition is still going strong! Our families keep growing, which leads us to needing more cabins to stay in. This was our first summer in this cabin, and we found a keeper! Cabin has everything you need and is very clean. Kitchen is fully stocked, has all new appliances, and a great pantry-cabinet for storing food (wish I had a cabinet like this at home!) A/C keeps cabin very comfortable and cool, beds and bedding are great. Love that towels are provided, makes one less thing to pack when packing for a week-long vacation! Very convenient having a gas grill and charcoal grill, and has a nice fenced-in backyard with a clothesline. If you love camping, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and ice cream, Hatfield is the place for you!

Nice and cozy but dirty and unkept
The place as well it's location and price are all great. There are many amenities provided that are a pleasure like the sauna or jacuzzi. However, what of these amenities if they are dirty to the point where you are plain disgusted at what you're looking at. Upon arrival, we discovered that the house was extremely dirty. I've been charged a cleaning fee during booking yet have not seen the results whatsoever. The tub downstairs was and is all stained by rust orange water. Same goes with the upstairs jacuzzi which was literally a pool of orange. Taking that this was NYE weekend, and that we drove 4hrs to get here, we decided to clean and disinfect the jacuzzi on our own. Fortunately at least there were cleaning products to aid in this. Also, the water itself smells like rust and has a taste of iron/rust. Upon further inspection in the house, I found the main water heater and noticed all the rust stains from previous, dried up leaks. This explained all the above mentioned problems for me. The sauna itself is not finished.There is no floor and because of this there is a gap in the bottom of the door that leaks hot or cold air. Very inefficient. Also, there are gaps and cracks in the walls. Additionally every window, rug, railing and shelf in the house has collected enough dust that even a dust mite would get an allergy. These are all inexpensive and easy fixes but I see that absolutely no one cared about tiding this place even after taking money for it. If it was not for this incompetence, I would highly rate this place as it does have potential.

Nice updates but could use a deep clean
This older cabin has been added on to and updated. It Is well furnished with kitchen needs; microwave, toaster, blender, utensils dishes, coffee pot etc There is a large TV with DVD and game system but only 4 TV channels viewable. The downstairs bedroom is small with 2 twin beds, no usable closet. Box fan provided for ventilation. The double bed is in a loft with a twin bed on the floor. Very tight to get around in the loft bedroom with both beds and the corner jetted tub. There isn't total privacy due to the partially open loft. There was some mold in the shower and a very musty shower curtain. The rusty tub wouldn't have gotten so bad if the shower plumbing was repaired. The foam/fabric dishmat was also very smelly and stained. Needs to be replaced as well as a stained carpet square used in the kitchen. There were some dust balls and hairs on the window AC electric cord. ( I had to plug something in the same outlet) The AC worked very well but we shut if off at nite because it would have been too cold right next to upstairs bed. Nice ceiling fan did the trick in the evenIng. There is a gas and charchol grill available. There was a cat and musty smell throughout that was disappointing. There was wood supplied for the backyard fire pit but we didn't use it A canoe seat is broken off so it's not usable. We did not use the separate portable sauna that's on the property. Quiet except for occasional train or ATV going by. Cabin is located 1.3 mile from Russel Memotial Park. ATV trails, damn , restruanants and roller rink are very close. Had a good experience with Blake answering emails and phone calls. Answered all my questions, offered some area suggestions. There were many brochures and travel magazine in the cabin. Anyone over 6 ft tall will touch their heads in some low ceiling areas. No data on my ATT cellphone but got ph signal. Can't give higher rating due to the offensive odors, stained carpet and mold. Would be better if a deep clean was done and more frequent replacement of the shower curtain and dishmat.

Cozy Cabin
The purpose for our trip was to ride the ATV trails. We stay in a lot of VRBOs to do this year round and this one was definitely a nice little cabin. It has all the things you need (towels, dishes, kitchen appliances, box fans in the rooms) to avoid packing the little extra things from home. Check in/out was very easy and quick,there was a lack of communication with the host staff, I had sent 2 emails, and one of the 2 was never responded to. They easily accommodate early check in if they can, which is A plus. The biggest complaint is one of the neighbors who made the stay less than desirable. We came home one night from the trail and he was shouting at us. This incident caused us to be Leary of keeping out ATV/SXS at our cabin, which created a little bit more running around on our end. As a result of this it was not an ATV friendly environment because of him. Be careful if this is also your intended purpose for booking. Otherwise, overall it was a nice little place.

Quiet and Peaceful Spot to Get Away
This place is just beautiful. While the size is listed as only 600 square feet, it actually feels much bigger because of the loft/second floor. The setting is in some lovely pine trees, and it is quiet and peaceful. A perfect spot for a couple of introverts like us to just be. Thanks!
