"A beautifully designed property with obviously great care being taken. Nicely located for our purposes which were a first visit to Northern Spain with plenty of sightseeing and walking. As a peaceful and rural location it didn't have bars/restaurants/shops on the doorstep but it was only a short 20 minute drive to Reinosa which had supermarkets and restaurants or half an hour to the more substantial Torrelavega. The property was well equipped and in very good condition."

"Truly a great accommodation; beautiful surroundings and excellent and attentive staff! It is not my norm to stay in rural settings; The Casona de Hermosa is a great exception. We enjoyed our stay due to its simplicity and stunning surroundings. A walk before breakfast is a must… the region is exceptional and encourages you to experience nature! Hermosa is a small village with beautiful surroundings… easy access to the entire region. Truly recommend the Casona de Hermosa for a peaceful and relaxing stay! "

"We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good"

"Lovely hotel. Our room had a little balcony with a great view over the water. Nice foyer sitting area with a pellet burning stove. There is an attached traditional bar and restaurant serving good cold dishes, but no hot meals. Excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses and their own label wine. Very good value."

"Nice quiet home. The neighborhood was very picturesque. The small town doesn’t have much, but a nearby town has a small grocery store and pharmacy. (10 minutes away by car)"

"We were lucky enough to happen across this gem when searching for a quiet location close to Santander that would accommodate us and our two small dogs in a hurry. We were taken aback by the extent of kindness and curtesy extended to us by Ivan and warmed by a welcome that was genuine. The accommodation is tasteful and thoughtfully responds to the 150 year old fully renovated building, replete with all of its original timber beams. It is a pleasing blend of both modern and antique which doesn’t compromise on style and quality. Come for the value and stay for the excellence."

"Nice hotel - very good value and clean Difficult to find but if we hadn’t taken the slip road as per sat nav and gone a bit further there was a sign for the hotel and a better entrance We had our dog with us so the big room was a bonus We booked this hotel as it said :- English spoken Bar/ lounge Room Service None of this was available for our stay - probably better in the summer Fortunately we had food and drink in the car that we were going to take home Restaurants available in the next village but we couldn’t use as we didn’t want to leave our dog "

"Great hotel in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the valley and griffon vultures circling above the cliffs opposite. No restaurant meals on Wednesday as the chef has a day off but the bar menu was a fine alternative. It's a bit tricky to reach the hotel as the village's roads a very narrow and steep but it's not a problem with a little care."
