This two-bedroom retreat is just four and a half miles from downtown Meredith and is perfect for a couple or a small family. The living room provides guests with a TV with cable and plenty of comfortable seating. Beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows allow sunshine and beautiful lake views. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for mealtime. Dine at the four-person table or grill the fresh catch of the day on the deck while enjoying the gorgeous sunset. A small table and chairs are located down by the lake if you prefer to enjoy your dinners with a view. Entertainment is assured no matter what - board games are provided for your daily family game time and high-speed WiFi is available for guests who would like to stay connected while on vacation. Additional amenities include a stackable washer/dryer on-site.

Nice lake cabin
We really enjoyed spending time down on the dock, watching the sunset. Dock is very close to house. Loved the open feel of the living/kitchen area with the cathedral ceiling. Quiet cul-de-sac. House has mechanical room near bedrooms and after an evening of laundry, the water heater and softener were noisy during the night. Also, the WiFi was out the whole time we were there, we had to go to Dunkin Donuts in Meredith to use their WiFi. VRBO said they would issue an amenities credit, but we haven’t seen any credit yet. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

The gome was clean but could use some updates, the shower head needed to be changed and the mattresses could be updated, they sagged. The wifi would go out randomly and take some time to come back on, but the views and closeness to town wereamazing!

Location is best part
Location on lake was awesome. Home had an odor had to spray with Lysol and keep windows open , glad weather permitted. First bathroom cabinet should have had lock ,inside was pretty filthy. Think should be upgraded , second bathroom was fine though with tub. Sheet on queen bed was not changed had debris at end of bed . Cleaning company needs to change after each guest and kitchen counters had brown specks had to clean kitchen counters myself . I would stay again on off season pricing expecting better quality home . The location is really nice and guess if don’t care about inside of home quality then a great place.

Property was perfect but Vacasa was terrible!!!!!!!!!
I loved dealing with VRBO directly and with the host but since you or host (?) has added Vacasa as property management I am extremely hesitant to use again in the future. To start, I had to cancel my original reservation and reschedule to later dates which was an extremely painful process. Note that I started the process to reschedule was done in March. First they told me the week I chose was available, but wait, no it wasn't. I went back and forth until I was able to find only four nights. I had questions for the host and I believe on your site you "think" you're messaging the host but really, it's Vacasa. Then literally a week or two before my vacation, they told me that the " pet friendly cottage" wasn't pet friendly after all?? What the heck?? Long story short, a public beach close to the property I was staying at was no longer dog friendly, but my cottage still was dog friendly ....very unsettling causing more stress than necessary:( Also, MUCH discrepancy with Vacasa.... an example: The paper info sheet in the cottage said not to strip the beds and "we've got you covered", then the email they sent me the day before checking out said to strip the beds.....what the heck?????? My advice to VRBO....drop Vacasa and find a more user friendly, reliable and overall better property management group!!!!

Well appointed home (not a cottage) very comfortable and very clean...only missing items - ceramic bowls for food prep and cooking...things in kitchen cupboards placed heater skelter but rearranged in orderly way. Swimming access POOR - shallow a long way out and have to walk on big and small rocks strewn with sticks and deep mushy bottom to swim - no "clean" water access. Access off dock problematic also... great porches - one screened - one open with lake views easy access to downtown Meredith. Could use a couple more "box type" fans - had 2 small ones but in high heat not enough. WIFI password not functional but previous renter left the original wifi info on refrig which worked. Cable TV has NO sports or news channels like MSNBC or CNN. Lake beautiful, clean and quiet..Sunset view.

Musty and smelly
The whole cabin was very musty and smelled, made it difficult to breathe, like mildew. The furniture felt moist and the mattresses were borderline unsleepable. Key was NOT where it was supposed to be at check-in. Had to call and wait over 20 minutes to get help. Duck tape was used to repair dock prior to our arrival and most of the pathway and dock lights did not work.

Important info NOT in listing
Let me say the property was clean, and the location private. Also, being able to bring our dogs was a huge plus. Saturday, unfortunately, to the fault only of Mother Nature was a wipeout because of hurricane Lee. We were excited for Sunday however, to put our boat in the water, and fish, and sun. The disappointment is the fact that although almost directly across from the camp was a private (to the community) boat ramp....that we were told we could not use. The sign is right there bigger than life, and read "Waukewan Assoc. Boat launch for members, and their guests". It absolutely mde no sense to us that we could not use it, and would have to drive a mile down the road for a public launch, after paying $1000.00+/- for the weekend to be on the lake on our boat. Very unhappy. So much so, that we actually left last night after dinner. I hope for future prospective renters that this be put in the listing....it's not as if you can miss the sign.

The cabin was everything that the two sisters and husbands could want. A place to connect after traveling from different parts of the country. We loved how the cabin was nestled in the pines on the point.Hearing the loons calling was a gift. We enjoyed seeing the eagle daily .We were privileged to see the eagle bring back a fish and eat it while sitting in the tall pine by the dock. The way seating arrangements were created ,around the property , provided solitude or gatherings. We took advantage of the outdoor fireplace . Hearing the crickets , the lapping water, and the crackling fire, brought a sense of serenity. But our all time favorite spot was sitting on the front porch drinking coffee. Each day the mist would roll down the mountain as we over looked the lake. It was magic. Thank you for the opportunity your “Listening Point” gave us.

Great Outdoors
Nice 2 Bedroom, 1.5 bath, Kitchen had supplies for basic cooking and Mr. Coffee maker. Outdoor grill, Linen and bedding was comfortable. TV in living room. Outdoor chimenea worked well, wood available at store. Dirt access road was no problem on motorcycle. The hot water outdoor shower was amazing. Secluded peaceful location. 10 Min from Hart's Turkey Farm. Had a great vacation, Thanks.

Great lake location
This was a great place for a week at the lake. Just 15 minutes from town and a good distance from tons of hiking spots. Everything worked as expected, including the gas BBQ. The extra bath was helpful and the internet worked well. Some days it was windy but the majority of the time was calm. Would strongly consider staying again!

Dirt and smelling house with nice location
The house is very dirty and smelling inside. The cupboards and washing maschine were disgusting. Unfortunately it is also not cozy inside and equiped with very old furniture. Furthermore the heating is very load and you can regulate the heating at two points only. E.g. the bedrooms and bathrooms are regulated together. When you like to sleep cool, you will also have a cool bathroom. The location is lovely. The lake is beautiful. Therefore the house has a lot of potential, but needs imvestments in cozy furniture, heating and cleaning.
