Red Bird Roost - Cozy log cabin on the Brow steps to downtown and Brow Park

Location in Scenic Mentone on Cool Street less than two blocks from downtown and one block from Brow Park. Lovely 2 bedroom 2 bath authentic log cabin with maximum mountain charm and character. Open living, dining and kitchen on main level with full bath. Large stone wood burning fireplace with vaulted ceiling. Main room opens to screened porch with multiple tables and chairs to enjoy the tree tops and access to outdoor grill area, stairs up from main area to loft with king bed and spiral staircase down from main living area to private basement suite with twin XL beds, sitting area, bath and lower level screened patio with swing and comfortable sitting area. Lower basement suite also accessible from separate entrance.
Outdoor firepit and sitting area. Firewood is provided for a $25 fee per night, please let manager know if you would like to add this charge.

Wonderful stay
We had a great stay at the Red Bird Roost! Everything was clean and we had everything we needed in the cabin. We enjoyed the short walk down to Brow Park to view the sunsets and having Mentone Market so close by was convenient to grab things we needed. Also loved relaxing on the back porch and enjoying the view from the cabin!

Forever Friends Retreat
My two “forever” friends ( we have been best friends since 6th grade) and I enjoyed a weekend at Red Bird Roost. It was cozy and close to everything! We loved the location! Being on the brow we took a picnic right down the road to a picnic table and watched the sunset We enjoyed Hatters cafe and Wildflower cafe also. We had a great time❤️Highly recommend this cabin

Really nice cabin. We stayed cozy even though the mornings outside were quite cold. Pleasant atmosphere for visiting. Great view of the valley below within walking distance. Plan to visit again in 2024

A special cozy cabin in an ideal location
Sweet, cozy cabin in a lovely location. Staying in this clean, comfortable, well-stocked cabin helped make our Thanksgiving stay in Mentone enjoyable. There were special touches everywhere, even a bit of Christmas, making us smile. Brow Park is a short walk and a perfect place to catch the sunset. And, yes, there were red birds.

Loved everything about this cabin; very clean, bed comfortable, so close to “downtown” Mentone. If we could edit one thing it would be the lack of a view due to trees which was weird because its location would give an amazing view (I’ve stayed in another cabin on this street and the view is worth sacrificing the trees right in front).

Wonderful cabin
I loved the cabin! It was so cozy and comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We had a problem with the television called the property manager and she immediately helped solve the problem. The cabin is in a perfect location to restaurants and cute little shops. I will definitely stay at this cabin again!

Relaxing Weekend
Red Birds Roost is just as it is pictured in the listing. Very centrally located in Mentone and within walking distance to many of the quaint downtown shops and restaurants. My wife and I had a very enjoyable and relaxing time at this cabin. If you want want peace and quiet this is the place.

Perfect Mountain Cabin
A good time to reconnect with old friends and relax! This was the perfect spot for us to sit around by the fire, play cards, and catch up. We had dinner in Mentone one night and Fort Payne the next, so we were close enough to everything we needed but still felt far enough away from life to know we got a break.
