Cozy cottage nestled in the woods with large screened in porch to listen to the birds. Bedrooms have blackout blinds for a prefect night sleep. Fire pit for evenings with the family. Only one mile to Mentone brow park to watch beautiful sunsets. We have games for the rainy days. Fully stocked kitchen. We are 1.4 miles from Lil Mole Run golf course, and best of all a private creek to walk and enjoy all to yourself. This is a new property and the yard is still in progress, thank you for your understanding.

The cabin was very clean and beautiful. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It was peaceful and very relaxing to be there. I will definitely stay there again and will recommend it too. My husband and I had a wonderful time.

This is now my favorite place to stay in Mentone!!! Clean, fully furnished with everything we would ever need! Loved the screened porch...maybe it will be warm enough next time to enjoy it. The fireplace was awesome!! A+ in my book!

My husband and I had a wonderful time! The cottage was so cute and cozy, and really close to downtown Mentone. Our host, Amy, responded right away with any questions we had. We loved hiking, sightseeing and dining out, and this cottage was the perfect place to come back to and relax!

Clean and Cozy
The house was immaculately clean and so cozy. The personal touches around the house and how well stocked with essentials it was made it feel very welcoming. We had everything we needed to cook our meals. The porch was the best part and we spent most of our time relaxing out there. It was perfect for a friends getaway. I would love to stay here again.

Very quiet. Beautifully situated on a creek in the woods, but near town. The owner is very gracious— we inadvertently left some workout equipment on the screen porch, and she was happy to UPS it to us at our home.

Wonderful place to celebrate our girls 13th birthday.
We really enjoyed our cozy little cottage. Our 13 year old girls loved playing back down by the creek. They even built a little fort. The sweet, hostess had ballons for them for their birthday.

Celebrate our 50th anniversary
Our first time to do a VRBO & we were blown away,,,it was a perfect venue for our 50th anniversary. It’s a beautiful cottage with lots of room and the fall decor made it cozy. We can’t say enough of our host, Amy Kirby, checking to make sure if we needed anything. Great time to go in late October for the colors. Don’t miss a sunset @ Brow Park nearby, great breakfast at The Hatter, visited Desota Falls park & Little River Canyon & just drive around to see more scenery…it’s everywhere. Ft. Payne is not too far a drive for a WalMart run😊 One of our favorites was the screened -in -porch,,, to just chill, read, listen to the woodpecker,,, all the fall leaves dropping, it sounded like a gentle rain. You won’t be disappointed staying at The Creek Side Cottage,,, we didn’t want to leave!

Girls R & R Trip 2023
This cottage is PERFECT for a few days of R&R! It was fabulously decorated, very clean, and extremely welcoming. Although the entire cottage was nice and homey, the covered patio was the best 'room' in the house. If there would have been a hammock out there, I probably would have slept there! The host, Amy, was very kind and I can't wait to visit again. Thanks for a great getaway!

Secluded but convenient
This house in the woods is perfect. It is a very nice new modern house with all amenities you need. Although there are other houses near by the wooded area makes it private. I can't think of anything else to say except, I want to go back. Be sure to go to the park overlooking the valley and watch the sunset and go to the market for the best pizza you every put in your mouth.

I was looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. I got that and so much more. From the sample of fresh veggies grown in the host’s garden to the deer grazing in the backyard, it was wonderful. I can’t wait to return and enjoy the screened in porch when the weather is cooler.

Awesome. Owner answered phone promptly. Provided a basket of goodies and fresh vegetables for grilling. Woke up to a deer outside bedroom window. The stream was lovely to walk to and explore. Screened in porch was a great place to read my Bible and pray. Quiet place to enjoy nature and time with friends.
