Forest Suite is located just a few minutes south from the village of Mendocino on 5 acres of beautiful redwoods.This 560 sq. ft. apartment plus 200sq ft deck, is upstairs from my 2,000 sq. ft artist’s studio, which is not in use when guests are staying. Built entirely with redwood, recycled fir and barn wood with cement counters and shower this romantic getaway is a very special spot.

The south wall is all windows with a deck overlooking the surrounding trees. It’s very peaceful and sunny and is frequented by honeymooners, artists, writers and those seeking total privacy. A few books and screenplays have been written here! There is an eclectic book and DVD library to enjoy. Take a walk through the forest; you will see a trail sign by the driveway which will take you through the property and out onto Gordon Lane for a longer walk. There is a bench along the trail and also a deck in the trees for yoga or meditation, or just relax and enjoy the tranquility. Thank you and enjoy your stay!!

Quiet retreat in the forest
We really enjoyed our short stay here! The place is exactly how it’s shown in the photos and is very clean. A great place to retreat to in the evening and is close to activities near the coast and Fort Bragg. We’d definitely stay again!

Our favorite place to stay in Mendocino
If you like total privacy, a charming space, great light, and easy access to the wonderful town of Mendocino, this place is for you. Sitting on the deck in the sun while watching the trees sway in the breeze is our idea of heaven. We've stayed here three times and can't wait to go back!

Coziest Stay in the Woods
While the weather in Mendocino this weekend was nonstop rain, we found the Forest Suite to be an incredibly cozy and comfortable stay. Jennifer’s directions were clear and concise and the amenities were great. Will definitely stay here again on our next Mendo excursion. Cheers!

What a magical place to return to after a day of exploring the Mendocino coast. A very comfortable magical property tucked away in a redwood forest but very close to Mendocino and beaches and coastal walks.

We love this place!
This is our second time staying here and we love it! There is nothing better than sipping coffee on the balcony looking over the redwood trees! The location is perfect, so close to Mendocino and to trails for biking and hiking! We will definitely be back!

Forest hideawsy
The forest suite is a perfect spot to getaway from typical vacation accommodations. It is a very short drive to Mendocino, yet tucked away in the forest. The suite has everything you need and even some of the stuff you didn't think of, but your host did. Jennifer is very responsive and has created a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy.

It's a wonderful studio in a forest - cosy, comfortable to stay in, with a great view from the deck, peaceful surroundings, really close to the coast and Mendocino. I expected it to be nice (looking at the pictures in the listing) - and it turned out to be even better in person! We really loved our stay and hope to come back in future.

Forest Suite Revisited
We stayed at this VRBO in 2022 and enjoyed it so much we had to come back! It is a great location to be near the ocean and take in all the beautiful sights around Mendocino. The Forest Suite is peaceful and relaxing... perfect for getting away from it all for a few days. We would venture out in the mornings to go on hikes or just do some sight seeing, and then come back to the suite to kick back and read a good book. Such a nice vacation! Highly recommended!

Secluded & Quiet
The Forest-suite was just right. My wife and I were able to unwind in this tree top oasis of privacy. Close to Mendocino and shipping. We had wonderful weather which allowed us to go hiking and then come enjoy the stillness of this rustic place.
