This is a ground floor self-contained Apartment, with two bedrooms (one double bed, one single bed) and a sofa bed in the lounge. It is a “home from home”, with all the facilities that you would need. Electric Heaters in each room with an electric towel rail in the bathroom.
There is a 32" Smart TV with plenty of channels and FREE Netflix, a DVD player with a good selection of DVD's on hand (for all ages). We have a good selection of children's books for all ages, for that bedtime story and a selection of Top Trump cards, games (Monopoly, Chess, Cluedo etc..) colouring books and pens to entertain the kids (and adults) when the weather's not too good. The Bathroom consists of a toilet, sink and shower with soap, shower gel, shampoo and toilet roll provided. All towels and bedding are also provided. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessary equipment to cook, and we do provide the basics Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil, Sugar, Tea Coffee etc.. a pint of fresh milk in the fridge and a basket of goodies that will start you off and ready for your arrival. There is parking for one vehicle in front of the property and is within 100 yards of a public car park.
It is within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in Anglesey, with plenty of choices for different tastes, Seafood, Pizzeria, Chinese, Indian, Portuguese, Italian, Barbecue & Smoke House, Hamburger, Thai and a fantastic Michelin Star restaurant. There are also a good selection of coffee/tea shops and takeaways, pubs and wine bars. There is something for everyone. The town also has a Waitrose, Butchers, Post office & gifts, Hardware store, a selection of clothes shops, haberdashery, Florist, Hairdressers, Beauticians & Nail bar, Barbers, Antiques, Anglesey Paper shop, Mobility store, local Gallery, Jewellery, Welsh shop, Estate Agents, Benjamin Lee Chocolatier, Bookmakers, Charity, Cash machine, Doctors surgery, Dentist, Chemist, Bowling green and a petrol station and a few more that I have probably forgotten!
If you love walking, the property is on the Anglesey Coastal path, Snowdonia is 25 minutes away (by car) . If you don't have a car there is a bus stop only 30 meters away, and Bangor Train station is 10 minutes away. The City of Bangor, which has a beautiful Cathedral and a great University only 10 minutes by car, and the Ocean Science part of the University is based in Menai Bridge a walk away.
There are also some lovely walks in Menai Bridge, take a walk over the Menai Suspension Bridge which was built by Thomas Telford in 1826, the world's first iron suspension bridge built, there is also a pub on each end of the bridge and Menai Heritage Bridges Exhibition is also nearby which is worth a visit. Take a walk to Church Island along the Belgian Promenade which runs along the Menai Straits, which was features in the TV series "Cold Feet" a short while ago or if you would like to see another angle of the Menai straits take a boat ride with Ribride (a walk away) along the Menai Straits and then pop into Dylan’s Restaurant (next door to Ribride) for a fantastic fresh and local seafood or pizza lunch!
If you are a keen gardener or love flowers, within walk distance, there is a great garden, worth a visit anytime of the year, which is called Plas Cadnant Hidden Garden, it will take you breath away, it also has a lovely tearoom that serves some fantastic homemade cakes.
There is a Farmers market in the town every month, and a regular food/seafood festival in the town that is well worth a visit. Once a year, the last week of October, the town holds a big fair, which goes on all day and into the night with plenty of stalls selling food etc.. and a fun fair, great fun for all ages.
Down the road from the Apartment, about 4.5 miles away, is the town of Beaumaris, this is a mixture of Medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture seaside town, which has a Castle, Gaol (Jail) and a pier, there are Fishing trips available from the pier, boat trips to Puffin Island (puffins are usually on the island between April and the end of July) you might also be lucky enough to see some Sealions and Dolphins on the way. If you are a golfer, there is a very good golfing club in Henllys Hall, Beaumaris with an 18-hole green.
