"The desk worker (I assumed also the owner) was friendly and helpful. He showed general interest in what brought us to stay in Melrose. The staffed seemed happy and seemed to work hard! The room had updated carpeting and furniture and looked like they were trying to improve their hotel."

"My partner and I brought our 5 & 10 year old girls to the tree house cabin for a weekend getaway from the twin cities area. We loved how close the area is to the cities, making it an easy drive with kids after the school and work day. But what made the place amazing was how magical it was, and all the extra touches that didn’t get described in the listing. There were so many fun little places to explore on the property and in the cabin that we were delighted the entire time. I think my only disappointment was that it was incredibly cold out with a lot of snow on the ground and the hot tub is adjacent to the owner’s home which is a good distance from the cabin. Because of this, we decided to forgo the hot tub since it would mean trekking back to the cabin across a large field of snow while wet(and with young kids). Perhaps next time we will come without the little ones. On a positive note, we hadn’t realized our cabin came with a sauna under it! I could go into a lot of detail about all of the fun ways in which the owners made our stay warm and welcoming and perfect but I think it would be much better to just insist you try it for yourself, you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to come again and bring friends along. "

"What a quiet little place for us moms to sneak away from our families for a weekend. The place was tucked into the property, away from the road and even further from town. The place was well furnished and a perfect place to stay in and cozy up, since there is not much to do around the location. Bring all the things you need to cook and make sure your pizza isn't too big for the small oven! You can tell that they put time, energy, and love into the property with all the small intricate details. It was such a perfect weekend to relax, do face masks, do crafts with your friend and enjoy the hot tub that's on site! We decided that this would not be the place for our small children as the ladder going up to the loft is quite steep and the place is small so it is not conducive to kids under 10, in our opinion. Maybe in the spring summer and fall when you can get outdoors and enjoy the zip line, kids would like the property more. But in the winter months when it's too cold to get outside, we could see our kids getting stir crazy! We would definitely be back again for another adult getaway! And the owners are so sweet!!"

"Chris is a great host. She was so friendly and helpful. Her store next door has so many features too. It was neat to get the rundown on the place. My family stayed at the guesthouse before an early flight out of St. Cloud. It offered enough space and was perfect for the seven of us. It is also a unique property and was a rustic place.
