"Had a wonderful stay here over the weekend of our wedding. The room was a wonderful size and while nice and clean it was a little tired in places. The staff however were so kind and helpful; going above and beyond time after time to make our stay special. The food in the restaurant was delicious, I would recommend booking a Sunday lunch if you the opportunity. Thank you for such a lovely stay."

"Stayed here for a couple nights. The room was a bit rough around the edges, but nothing too bad. It was a good size room, plenty of space. It's in a quiet area that isn't a long walk into the city centre. It has free parking and a kettle in the room which I always appreciate. Alexandra park is nearby and worth a visit for the views. Overall we had no issues with this hotel 🙂"

"We rarely stay in pubs (particularly not on a Saturday night). This venue was exceptional, had clearly been refurbished recently (smell of fresh paint). Good to see locals in the bar, who welcomed us ahead of hotel staff. Room was clean and well appointed. We ate in restaurant in evening - food and service were both excellent (although portion size was HUGE !!!). Breakfast good in morning."

"It was chosen primarily because it was closest to family we were visiting for a few days, but also the photos of the accommodation looked fun and location beautiful. We stayed in Shawn, at the very top of a very steep hill, for us townies was the difficult part lol Shawn was very comfortable, small kitchen area, toilet and shower and lovely small decking area with bbq and views!
