El Fresco weekend away
The house is in a great location, walking distance to the beach. There is ample sleeping, entertainment, dining and bathroom space which was great for our family group! The kitchen is well equipped. It was enjoyable in the beautiful weather to use the outdoor dining area and pool. However, certain items required attention: - keys provided could not open the main bi-fold doors to the outdoor area, so we had to use the side door by the guest toilet - pool had loose pavers. One of which was just lying beside the pool - house description and information compendium mention a box of coffee pods for the coffee machine will be supplied. These were not and we needed to drive into Rye to get coffee - information compendium mentions using wipes provided underneath the BBQ to clean the BBQ. These were not provided - all door handles are loose and most doors once shut were difficult to open as a result - condition of the leather couch in the smaller living area was shocking and therefore uncomfortable to sit on Attending to these would bring the rating up to 5 stars

Beach stays
Great location with a quick walk down to the beach. The house is very spacious and has great zones if sharing your stay with other families/friends. The house itself was clean enough. Kitchen is well equipped and toys and games provided for entertainment. The house definitely need a lot of love, care and maintence done. For example: - decking nails sticking out (causing injury to young children) - most internal door handles need tightening or replacement - pool pavers are falling off and rusting into the pool - rain water tank was empty and had to be filled to allow toilets to flush - ensuite sink blocked on arrival - dryer is not functional - leather couch is flaking off and cannot be used We enjoyed the stay but would hope to see the house get the attention it needs for furture stays.

Great house for a big group
Property is quite large with separate areas which is great. Loved the outdoor area. Good location close to main strip of Rye. Couple of things to mention: No shampoo/ conditioner or milk on arrival. The rooms need a good dust too. One of the bunk beds is practically falling apart. The furniture is different to the photos advertised. It’s the little things that make an impact. These things can be easily addressed.

Great property
Excellent property for a few families together. Multiple living spaces was very handy to give teens and adults own space. Courtyard / pool area is quite sheltered so was warm even on cooler days. Pool was solar heated so quite pleasant for the kids even on cooler days. We took own deck chairs to be able to lie by the pool which was worth it. Pity bedrooms don't have ceiling fans as the air flow is not great / rooms feel stuffy even on cooler days and air conditioning can only work in half the house at a time.

Wonderful holiday house!
We all had a very comfortable stay at "The Pier". The house is so spacious and there was plenty of bedrooms for a large group. We enjoyed sitting out by the pool, the kids loved swimming in the pool, but would have been nice if there were a couple of deck chairs to relax in though. BBQ & large outdoor dinning setting was great. Lounge area was very comfortable, with big TV, seating for everyone and games for the kids. Free WiFi was great because phone reception/4G was poor. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and beautiful (loved the rain shower in the ensuite!), but we would have really appreciated a coffee machine (of any sort!). Plunger coffee isn't the same and the milk frother was leaking. The only real negative was that there is no side gate, so you can get out from the back deck, through the back yard, along the high terrace along the fenceline out to the front yard. This is a negative when you have young kids who are keen to explore. A gate at the back of the deck would be beneficial. We would stay here again!

Beautiful accomodation for families
We had a wonderful stay, even if the weather wasn’t quite nice enough to take advantage of the pool! The wifi is a nice touch and the separate living zones made it perfect for three families with young kids. Highly recommend.

Pleasant Stay at a beautiful home nestled in a great spot!
An enjoyable stay, well appointed, clean and open space helped accommodate all guest. I would say respectfully that the pool was difficult to heat up as it was solar operated so we didn’t get a chance to use the pool over the 2 days stay which was a shame, and the only thing that was difficult was having no reception within the home and no wifi provided, so contact was very difficult over the weekend. Apart from these two things, the host was great, home would offer enough comfort to cater for a big group to stay. Thank you again!

Great for big groups
We really enjoyed our stay, it was great having multiple living areas, especially with big groups. The only down fall was that there was a lot of stairs, so tricky with smaller children and toddlers, otherwise would highly recommend and would stay again.
