Beautiful location, clean rooms, close to Olinda and Sassafras. Very handy for exploring the Dandenong Rangers. Staff are friendly. The communal lounge and Pool table were a great bonus. Downfalls - no fridge or microwave in room. We were also booked in the same night as a wedding party, so the after party took place in the rooms beside our's, as well as the courtyard beaide our window, so I was kept awake most of the night, which left me rather angry with a big day of driving and walking ahead of me.

The customer service from staff was great and I cannot fault but a few things to note. On booking we weren’t notified that access was via a dirt road. The breakfast inclusion was disappointing with only cereal, toast and fruit, not hot food. We opted for twin beds and when we moved one we were horrified by the thick dust under the bed that had clearly not been cleaned for months, the shower door did not close and there was an awful smell coming from drain. Our handle on the door broke and locked us inside the room but thankfully staff acted quickly. Disappointed that there was not even a small fridge in the room to keep a bottle of water cold. Pool was a comfortable temperature but needed a really good clean and no lines marked on the tennis courts.

Amazing staff. Very friendly and accommodating. They are set up as a conference centre. No fridges in the rooms if you want to keep things cool. Beautiful grounds.

The area is beautiful & the room was adequate for my needs. But the shower was difficult... the water was either freezing or scalding, with little water pressure.

Disappointing
Was only given a 3 star room, only one towel provided for 2 people, was interrupted during the night with someone entering the room, loud conference party music from 8:30 to 10.

Lovely setting. modern venue
Really terrific venue. Could see some amazing weddings or company conferences happening there. But equally, it was a lovely place for a couple's getaway. Our room was 14B which felt a bit like a nicely renovated basement! Roomy and light, though. The only realy compaint I have was that there was no outside light over the doors to the two rooms we were in so it was a bit dicey making our way in at night. Otherwise, first class! Thank you.

Beautiful location
Beautiful location - room was quite small, but bed was comfy. We were staying overnight - going to a wedding in the area - we booked a taxi and had to pay a $20 surcharge due to the location (mountain taxis). Not the property's fault but something to consider if you are planning to go out for the evening. Room was basic - but clean.

Basic room but nice location
Generally an okay place to stay for a very short time. TV was located near the ceiling and too high to watch with comfort. Fridge seems to be a after thought. Only 1 chair was provided to sit on but it was a double room with 2 people. Room was small and cramped. A little out of the way for tourists but okay if you wanted a night away. Seems to be catering more for functions or the like with ground floor containing massive rooms for large numbers. No private or intimate seating areas. Grounds were very nice and large with good views. Finding a nice place for dinner locally was difficult. Don't think I would go there again.

Not a Saturday night for a celebration
A few days before th booking I received an email explaining how to get into the room. The key was to be left in a meter box. As I was concerned at this, I rang the next day and spoke to an extremely helpful and friendly woman. This put my mind at rest, even though there was to be only one other couple in a cabin nearby. Driving down a windy, unlit and dirt road was a concern, because to have dinner and come home in the dark could be a challenge in an unknown area. However when w arrive to the deserted complex, it did look lovely, very good surrounds. However the room was very disappointing. It felt damp and smelt of mildew. It is obviously closed up a lot. When we came home after dinner, we would have to turn a heater on then. Cold and miserable at 8 or 9pm. It felt like a deserted hotel with old walls with new paint. This was to be a romantic couple weekend. We left when we decided we would be better at home! This was to be our Reward night after many bookings. Very disappointed. The place may be good for a Conference, but felt like a school camp and definitely not for a couple's night.
