Location, location, location.
Perfect location close to the beach and a 30 minute walk to Mornington main street. Local cafe (Lilo), with excellent coffee, a 15 minute walk. The property has excellent amenities including washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Everything provided in the kitchen for cooking. My only criticism was with regard to the cleanliness and general preservation of the property. I feel the property especially the kitchen area would need a deep clean. The shelves and drawers for storage were all quite dirty. While the sheets on the beds might have been clean, there were hairs etc on the outer covers! The bedclothes were washed out and drab looking. I contacted the owner the morning after our arrival and she apologised and sent some cleaning products and refunded two nights of our 15 night stay. A lovely little beach house in a perfect position but some attention to detail required. ay.

Great value just off the Esplanade
Compact villa unit, excellent value, very clean and 2 min walk to foreshore with steps leading to a secluded beach/cove. Need transport to Mornington centre although there’s a great cafe (Lilo) in walking distance.

Cleanliness of unit very good. Would suggest only that pots/cutlery be checked for cleanliness too. Suggested improvement - have a shelf in the shower cubical and heater in bathroom. Not lux but cosy and attractive.

Great little getaway
The place was set up really well, with thought given into all the amenities that would be required. Such close proximity to walking along the beach road. Spent the weekend there with some friends, and was an easy and relaxing stay. Thanks!

Perfect beach getaway
The unit has been beautifully renovated and comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay on the Peninsula. I travelled with young children and it was very safe for them - no way they could escape! The small outdoor deck is great for eating outside, and the kitchen comes with all the mod cons - microwave, dishwasher, full sized fridge and even a Nespresso with pods. Sarah is very generous with basic pantry items also supplied. We were able to do a load of washing while there which was great. The area is quiet, walking distance to a small park which the kids loved. A short drive to the main street in Mornington, and a 20 min drive to Rosebud - which we did daily as the park, jetty, beach area is perfect for kids. The beds need a special mention - sooooo comfortable!! Would absolutely book again :) Lisa

Firstly, our host was extremely approachable and amenable. We are from interstate and don't know the area at all. Mornington has a very small beach and few entertainments. The property is extremely well presented and equipped but very expensive for its location and size, particularly at this time of year. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 young children and had we (2 of the 6) stayed for more than the 1 night, would have struggled to keep out of each others way for the 4 nights booked. I was very disappointed on arriving to see that it was an old unit and not a cottage, and without outdoor space that I had envisaged. With online booking one doesn't get the address until the fees are paid and I feel we could have done better.
