Whisper quiet at the back of a quiet block, this fully renovated 2 bedroom villa is the perfect base to drop your bags and start exploring Melbourne. Metres to the train station that takes you everywhere you’ll enjoy the comforts of our plush couch, Scandi dining setting and the sun filled courtyard with its café table set. The beds are comfy, there’s a desk for any in between work or study and there’s free parking at your door.
We are so proud that we can offer you our Sweet Caroline stay. We’ve dressed it with European Oak floors, brushed stainless steel door furniture and both privacy and block out blinds for your comfort. Nestled in a small group of 8 enjoying the northern sunshine in the private courtyard, you’ll love the easy open plan feel of the living, dining and kitchen area with its Scandi palette, soft furnishings and smart TV. Our kitchen is smart and user-friendly with its gas stove, family size fridge/freezer and a host of appliances – air fryer, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, microwave and plenty of pots and pans. Our bedroom set up is designed for a small family, a couple with a friend or even friends who want their own rooms with a queen size bed in the main bedroom, and two singles with a desk set up (so you can work while you’re away). Each bedroom has freestanding open robe storage and bedside lamps. The gleaming bathroom has a combo washer/dryer and classic laundry trough (ideal for a baby bath, if needed), with a shower over a ¾ size bath, vanity and toilet for all to use. All this, and we are comfortable with ducted heating, dual blinds, blankets to cuddle up on the couch and flyscreen doors to keep the bugs away.
Whole property, but be mindful of others in the unit complex – 7 other units. There is one locked cupboard inside, however you can use everything else available on the property. There is a designated car space for you near the entrance of our unit, so please park as to not to interfere with the neighbours.
Located 14 kilometres north of the heart of Melbourne in a quiet back street between Thomastown Recreation and Aquatic Centre and the Thomastown train station, you’ll feel safe and secure in this small group of units, yet in touch with the whole world. The Supa IGA on Edgars Road has a fabulous bakery and a 7-Eleven, to get your Myki, and is only 1.4 kilometres from our stay. There is the Divan Persian restaurant and Haweli Indian restaurant on High Street, as well as a Thai restaurant, kebabs and Vietnamese groceries. The Northern Hospital and Epping Community Health Centre is only 3.6 kilometres away if you are seeking treatment or visiting family, with Epping Plaza Shopping Centre next door to the hospital. We are also well positioned for business at the Melbourne Wholesale Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Market (6 kilometres), La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus (9 kilometres) and RMIT’s Bundoora campus (6.4 kilometres). A 450 metre walk to Thomastown station, you will be in Melbourne’s Central Business District in 37 minutes where you can explore Marvel Stadium, the MCG, the Queen Victoria Market and Southbank’s food culture. If you want to take a walk in the park, Main Street Reserve, at the end of our no through road, has walking tracks along Edgars Creek taking in the local tranquillity and some historic homes on the way. Check out the Ziebell’s Farmhouse Museum (c1850-51), the Lutheran Cemetery (1850), Australia’s oldest Lutheran Church (1856) and Heritage Garden and the 19th century German settlement called Westgarthtown, for absolute local secrets.
