Gracehill Cottage is situated on six arces of established gardens and bushland with magnificient views over the Dandenong Ranges.

Indulge yourself and relax by the gas log fire in winter or just stroll around the meandering paths and enjoy the nature walk, or simply sit back and relax on Gracehill's large verandas and enjoy the views over the ranges it is truly a unique getaway experience for all ages.

Gracehill Cottage is fully separate and self contained with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, laundry facilities kitchen/dining and with a view from every room into the garden.
Gracehill is tastefully decorated with early Australian antiques yet offering modern day accommodation with luxuries linen and bath robes supplied for your stay.


The RJ Hamer Arboretum is directly opposite Gracehill Accommodation for nature lovers and bushwalkers alike to explore the abundant source of wildlife, or spend the afternoon in the Olinda Village, Sassafras, or in the Yarra Valley which is only a short drive from Gracehill Accommodation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Barn was comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed for our short stay including very lovely views. The children loved feeding the chickens and what a treat it was for them to find some eggs to bring home - they were delicious. Betty was very welcoming and responsive. The Best family getaway
My wife and two young children had the best experience with Betty and Fred. The Barn was cosy and well equiped with beautiful views from every window. We went in the middle of winter and snuggled up next to the gas log fire. My daughter loved the playground and walking around the gardens, with the highlight being the chickens and collecting their eggs, all on the property! Betty was an unreal host and we had the best time on our first family getaway. Would highly recommended to anyone and we will definitely be back.

What a beautiful place to stay. The surrounds are amazing and you could never leave the property and still have a wonderful time. The barn is a great for families - three double beds and a single bed ensures room for even the bigger families. The barn is fully decked out - kitchen, dining, two bathrooms and a laundry. The highlight was the huge wrap around deck with plenty of seating and a bbq - perfect for sunny weather. The host was fantastic, hassle free experience that we could not recommend more.

Wonderful group getaway
My wife and I enjoyed Betty and Fred's Barn accommodation for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The property and surrounds were picturesque from the moment you pull in to the drive. The two one-year-olds were very fond of both the playground just a short garden path from our accommodation as well as the wonderful chicken coop. Betty and Fred were very attentive and responsive to all communications and requests, whether it was some extra glassware, or towels. We all loved our stay and even tried to extend our booking by an extra night we were enjoying it so much.

Great getaway from a hectic city life!
We had an amazing stay with it’s beautiful grounds. It was private, comfortable, safe and warm! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We were two couples which the property was perfect. It would be a fun place for kids as loft area was open with beds and great play area outside, walking paths and large deck. The barn had everything we needed and across from the arboretum. Definitely return if coming back to area.
